There's no enforced pay rise beyond jacking up minimum salaries and payments, it's just the cap is raised significantly.Think you may slightly be missing a key point. All players have received a pay rise. The cap is definitely still a strong presence to clubs. Players know its up so they'll naturally ask for more on top of their pay rise too. I think that we'll actually see a couple clubs make a few cap blunders over the next season in a settling period forcing players out of clubs who've overestimated the new cap space.
As far as I can tell, the clubs keep player GPS data internal and release some stuff to the AFL. Not sure how much the AFL actually get, but at a broadcast level they only seem to get peak and aggregate values.Club's already have this stuff - only difference now is Kingy has a whole new segment "In The Lab" to break it down to stupid levels of detail for us yeah?
Where's this GPS in the football thing mentioned? Or are you just talking hypotheticals? There's no enforced pay rise beyond jacking up minimum salaries and payments, it's just the cap is raised significantly.

There's no GPS data on the footy itself, however, so combining that with player GPS would create a rich set of data to analyse individual performances.

It's a hypothetical, but the technology exists. The trick to making it cost-effective is for it to be easily removed and placed into a new footy.Where's this GPS in the football thing mentioned? Or are you just talking hypotheticals?
Ah I guess I misinterpreted that. There's no enforced pay rise beyond jacking up minimum salaries and payments, it's just the cap is raised significantly.
Given we're supposedly operating with a standardised pay structure, I'd suggest anyone re-signed beyond 2017 already had a relevant clause.Get ready for a few kids signing renegotiated contracts/extensions, so they get a pay rise inline with the new EBA.
Apparently many players who recently re-signed have a clause in their contracts allowing for the increase.Get ready for a few kids signing renegotiated contracts/extensions, so they get a pay rise inline with the new EBA.
No this thread is about CommBank shafting its customers by raising fees, charges and interest rates by 20%Damn it thought this thread was about CommBank announcing their half yearly dividend.![]()
Been suggesting that for a while to help with goal umpiring when the ball goes through above post high.Stitch something into the footy and you've got everything you'll ever need, short of deploying an AI to analyse the video.
That'd probably require some more sensitive equipment, as well as a setup on the posts.Been suggesting that for a while to help with goal umpiring when the ball goes through above post high.
Pretty sure it could also record if a ball hit the post. Possibly not sensitive enough to measure if the ball was touched off the boot.
