I've seen drunken floozies urinating at a train station at 11 pm.at night. Extremely repugnant.
We went on a bus trip down to Margaret River for the Leeuwin Estate concert with a bunch of rugby boys and various gfs and female flatemates/groupies.

We had a piss stop with all the boys pissing by the side of the road and the girls all disappeared into the darkness trying to be discrete so one of the boys grabbed a camera with a flash and ran into the darkness taking photos of all the girls squatting with them all squealing and telling him to get f***ed.

Was funny as hell.

That's one time when it's better to be a bloke.

I haven't seen any of the movies or read any of the books.
Me either, cos I'm not a child.

I honestly couldn't be any less interested in watching the movies or reading the books.
There are so many classic films and books, why would you waste your time on children's magic stories.

Child.

Finally had a win at cricket yesterday. Readers might recall we won round one by 250 runs, but since then we've had four losses and a tie. The tie was incredible, they were 4/105 chasing our 122 before a collapse. They drew level with two wickets in hand, but we took two for none to tie it, the last catch a one hander going back over his shoulder.

We played the same team yesterday, bowled them out for 129 and knocked off the target four down.

Cricket's fun, but doubly so when you win.

Just went past the makeshift memorial at Place de la Republique. Very sad.

Must say the whole of Paris just feels sad. Most shops we went to today were pretty empty and the staff said it was unusually quiet.

Didn't feel unsafe though so I hope people don't stop coming as Parisians are now worried that leading up to Christmas their businesses are also going to suffers.

Kudos for The Last Man on Earth avatar btw, I've just started watching it on Ch One and it's funny as hell.

Kristen Schaal that played the stalker in Flight of the Conchords is a brilliant comic actress and Will Forte is great too.

.

The episode last week we're he just got married to KS and that hot blonde girl turns up is comedy gold.
Absolutely love the show. The comedy acting is great and the script so far is genius. I haven't watched much of Will Forte's work apart from his brief appearance on Parks and Rec where he wanted the Twlight book saga put into the Pawnee time capsule. In this show, he is bloody hilarious and his face when that hot blonde comes onto the scene is priceless.

You have to feel for people living in Baghdad, Nairobi, Damascus, Kabul etc, who live with that kind of fear of safety 365 days a year.

It upsets me why so many people here aren't willing to welcome refugees fleeing those war torn regions, understand the need for security/screening, but I genuinely am sad about the lack of compassion and human empathy.

Sigh.

I do feel for people that live in other places and feel extremely fortunate to live with the freedom I do.

The thing is the places you mentioned have rarely ever been safe and I wouldn't think of going there with my kids.

Paris on the other hand is a safe city that I have been to a few times and have never felt unsafe in until the events last week. It also happens to be the city I am currently in so thought I share my thoughts about being here.

Why do some people feel the need to turn it into a contest about who is the most compassionate.

For the first time in years, I just listened through the entirety of Eels album Electro-Shock Blues. Such a beautiful album. It's all about loss, with some real sad songs, but some uplifting beauties as well. DaVillaBlues you should give it a listen.
Beautiful Freak is a great album too.

This is my favourite song off it, probably my favourite Eels song full stop.

Yeah I will sometime later tonight/next few days. I've become more and more disconnected these past few months, not hanging out with my mates as much as I used to. Been in a self-pity rut for quite some time now, and finding it hard to climb out of it.

Appreciate the thoughtfulness of your post.

It's so lovely outside take off your clothes, grab a good book go to a beautiful park and lie in the sun for a while..it's good for you. Well not naked lol but let sun on your skin and onto your head..there's life and good people out there :) you can't fix the world but you can work on fixing yourself.

Idon't know if I could cope with Perth summers any more..it's great to visit for a few weeks but those super hot months fry my brain now.
I love them so much! I'm going to Perth for Christmas and I'm planning on spending the entire time lying on the beach in 40 degree weather
