Without trying to come across as a bit of a yokel, the real problem issue with the new Ghostbusters movie isn't the fact that its an all female cast, but quite frankly, the leading actress aren't exactly the pick of the bunch in terms of acting talent, or (for the discerning potential male viewer like myself) looks wise.
If the cast was say Karen Gillan, Amber Heard, Gina Torres, and Mary Winstead, none of us boys would have a problem and would gladly embrace and watch it, and the fact Himbo Chris Hemsworth (who is a terrible, wooden actor lets be honest, and only got roles for Thor cause of his looks) is cast as a secretary in the film, suggests to me that it's nothing more then a female only pleasing movie, with nothing of any appeal for the lads.
I mean Melissa McCarthy. Really ? I can tolerate her in small doses, like playing Alan Garner's weirdo girlfriend in The Hangover, but in a beloved franchise like Ghostbusters. Nope. Not buying it, not watching it...
