I guess it's your prerogative to think I'm conservative, and it doesn't really matter because my views stand or fall on the basis I argue them rather than my supposed political persuasion, but it's not really true. I've voted Labor more often than I've voted Coalition, and I don't think I've ever taken a political test that hasn't placed me slightly left of centre on a single-line left-right spectrum.

I mostly argue left-wing critical positions on this site. Mainly because this is a predominantly left-wing site and on the occasions where I have criticisms of the right, there is usually no shortage of eloquent people already expressing them.

People such as yourself also tend to assume that if you don't agree with them, you're of the opposite political persuasion. It's a bit more nuanced than that.

I think most of Australia is left wing to be honest, not that it explains the polls.

Or maybe just a very vocal minority (eg. Thatcher and miners).

This may be one for the unpopular opinions thread, but I like Roseanne Barr. Roseanne was pretty ground breaking television in the 90's and I never felt that she got a lot of credit for that, also I like her activism.
