I had a family friend try to get in early and fill it out yesterday and the site crashed on him 3 times and he gave up!

We got a paper form delivered to us...not sure why. But I wouldn't have had the patience to fill out an online form with the site crashing like it has.

Apparently because they are no longer de-identifying the data, which is what they used to do (officially), though there is some doubt as to the extent of this process. But now, they are saying they won't be de-identifying it.

I agree with some of the sentiment on here in that we already live in a world where there is mass data collection/NSA spying/Echelon etc etc. so not sure why people are taking issue with the census per se.

Hacking wouldnt render the website unusable. You coukd argue a ddos attack. But the site literally was designed to have 10 million+ people log into it at the space of 5 hours. So a ddos attack wouldnt do shit. They "load tested" at 150%. Which is probably a lie
