It would be a mistake for mcguigan to go back after such a stellar season with East Point, i think hes only 20 and he has plenty of time to go back to learmonth.

Can someone claify but is the one who post here under the name Learmonth their senior coach, cos i seen in an earlier NTFL thread that his brother was up at the Norther Territory as Operations Manager, Tim Beacham.

Agree with you D-Dog & Pelican annonymous banter is best.

No news on recruits at Dunnstown but heard they have pleaded with Aikman to finally hang up the boots before they have to shoot him. Apparently has 'one more' year left in him.

Have heard that Skontra has been chasing recuits hard for Waubra in the last few weeks to go back-to-back. Steve Nicholson (Redan) has been wined and dined, and reportedly a done deal to pull on the kanga colours next year after cracking the ********s at being dropped from the Grand Final.

Any other recruiting news?

It's all but guaranteed that Adrian Chew will be coaching Newlyn next year. He's a premiership player out there and is much respected by the local folk despite his ongoing refusal to handball.

I have been at the club for the last 6 years and yes you are right we played finals for most of those, that is one thing you said that is correct. As for all of your other comments, unless you have been a mystery member of the Daylesford Commitee for the last 5 years, you would not have a clue about the financial status of the club.

So all i ask, is that you identify yourself and put some credit behind your comments because you are way off base.

DfordDog, Mate i could not care if it is AJ or not, and thanks ryang for your support in finding a shortcoming in DfordDogs postings, all i was saying is that its not really hard for people to work out when he posts these sort of messages in the NTFL thread and clearly states "Brother".

I know Tim and AJ to say hello too and thats about the extent of it, both were reasonable footballers that played around various leagues and seemed to chase a dollar or two. Tim was a better player than AJ but perhaps AJ might be a better coach than Tim. Time will Tell.

Bit harsh on the beacham boys. both played at dford for well under what they could have got elsewhere. know the facts mate.

For starters, Aj is on no where near 25K, most of the money goes into his players, as a coach is only as good as the cattle he has on the park.
Robertson- Heard 30K (Not bad for a non playing coach)
Dford -No more then 10k
Gladman- Heard he was on 14K but ended up getting another 4k this season to total 18K- Not bad for a coach that seems to coach every side to the bottom???? Heard he is going back to Creswick this season>>>

As for all teh others, I have no idea, but would suggest b/t 8K & 16K

Learmonth, i can tell you that from very good sources, daylesfords coach is doing it for nothing, only so he can coach his sons, with the older one of them going to be the best footballer in the chfl by a mile.

Weight issues in the off season has been a major concern for Chew for quite a few years now, but if he sticks to his rigidly enforced herbal remedy diet, then the football world is his oyster (kilpatrick).

I know of Adrain Chew well, and attended University with him, great bloke and very funny, but I cant see him coaching... From what i know, he now lives in Melbourne, doesnt commit to training as he loves his social life in the BIG SMOKE!!

A new thumb maybe, but as for the visitors, they can stay in the cold, no pot belly and no mineral water mate. And as you have seen our visitors rooms, they will be half that size as well next year and the vistors coaches box placed near the far goals. I remember a few lakies complaining when we moved them for the game at vic park this year, should have concentrated more on the footy. As i can remember it was a bit of a hiding. haha. nah learmonth ill see what i can do for you mate. As for newlyn. they are signing sacco as joint coach but dont know who the other joint coach will be. sure wont be davidson as the players absolutely hate him.
