How's kelm/Thomson/mcginnes go?

Billy kicked a couple I think. Ricky ran his guts out as usual and went fairly well and I thought Kelmy did a great job in ruck contests against a bloke from Collingwood called Jolley who i think has a couple of afl premiership medals is his cabinet. As a i said before I they got a touch up but good on all the lads for having a crack at that level. They are doing the clubs and the league proud.

Noticed
Still not sure of names on a couple of Boga recruits but there were 2-3 gun players
Noticed a couple of new names, good to see them up and about. Certainly be some head scratching at k/b.
Woorinen put in a good performance on the big ground, still missing Ben trenfield and glen Boyd. Lalbert had a convincing win, the game was no spectacle, howling wind. Long year for the young guys there, they tried hard. Big gav Lloyd had a crack, poor bugger would sit in an ice bath for a week after games I reckon.

Cohuna will definitely be there at the pointy end- Eldridge very good footballer n local lad Daniel Coates. I'm not sure of there outs but we def had a few n really pushed them over there so was very happy with our effort.. The old 18 man press on that ground works well for them. N they have great set plays with kick outs. Generally drop first kick straight down the middle and have players spreading to wings.
Well done to boga, not sure barham are tge powerhouse we expected but for a team we all wrote off they pushed the doggies n won yesterday- see magic Dedini keeps dominating.

before watching Woorinen play yesterday i thought they would not be as strong as last year, i think they look a better side this year, didn't seem to rely on the same players all day. Cohuna will be there abouts at the end of the season, still having lapses during the game to let other sides get back in the game.

From 2 weeks of footy my ladder is

Kerang
Cohuna
Woorinen
Lalbert
Swan hill
Tooleybuc
Koondrook
Boga
Tyntynder
Nyah
Balranald

Looks about right to me. I still reckon tooleybuc will be a side to watch. Only went down to lerang by 4 goals. They may slip in for lalbert or swan hill.

Kerang vs Mallee Eagles in Kerang is on.

Think Cohuna are away this weekend.

Cheers - is Grayling still around? I played with him at East Ringwood and would be good to catch up with the big freak

Games went as predicted this weekend, but some much tougher predictions coming up in Round 4. 3 block buster games with Kerang taking on Cohuna, Swan Hill taking on Woorinen & Tooleybuc vs Tyntynder.

Watched Kerang v Eagles - they'd want to improve out of sight to be a top team - decision making was terrible on the weekend

Bit harsh. Thought the boys matched if not beat Kerang in the first half. Couple of easy misses would have seen us leading by a few more kicks at half time. Disappointing 2nd half but can take some positives out of considering last year we were thumped by 30 goals. Got lake boga this week, should be a cracker contest.

Not harsh - yes had chances in the first half but failed to take the game on, run thru lines (especially switching play to the open side) too many players collapsed to the "pack" and as a result ball kicked forward to 2 on 4 situations too often.
I have never seen either side play before so have no idea of history, just commenting on what i saw on the weekend

The eagles will improve as they play more games together. They have played both of last years grand finalists and now need to notch victories over some of the other improving sides to ensure that they give themselves a chance of playing finals footy

Massive game this weekend at Cohuna,
Could Cohuna be the only team that gives Kerang a run for their $$$?.
Hard to beat Cohuna on their home turf, going to be a cracker of a game.
Apparently cohuna have 5 eligible colts players that play seniors, is this true??

correct there are 5 colts playing seniors and all doing a great job

Some great signs for the future of the club if 5 Colts players are breaking into a good senior side. Always hard hanging onto them all with uni etc coming up for them. Cohuna are always a 4 goal better side when they play on their big ground but Kerang will still be to strong

What's up with Collo this season? Good signs if the league goal kicking champ isn't bagging any and they are still kicking goals

Yes a big game at Cohuna...my prediction is kerang will be far too strong. Kelm will most likely play as VFL have the bye also.
From last years GF side they have gained Robertson, Livingston, Bray, Cotchett and Kobi Wilson and only lost a couple! The $1.70 odds are pretty good if you ask me

$1.70 for whom??

if its Kerang based on last weeks effort give me the $2.60 on Cohuna everyday of the week!

Those couple of players are better then any in those ins bar Livingston and if they don't get Kelm back they have lost more then they have picked up and with a couple of key injuries I could open up for the TIgs IMO. Still can't see them being beaten
