Let's be honest the umpires we have running around at the moment struggle to see in the light of day let alone a night game at Cohuna. Friedberger chose to bump rather than tackle and a player was left unconscious which means he will have to get weeks. I'm also pretty sure a melee erupted within 15 seconds of the incident occurring.

Footy has changed mate...you can’t choose to bump and get someone in the head. He clearly gets him high and badly knocks him out. It wasnt a king hit and he might not have meant to get him high...but he did and he had to get weeks for it

That was play on in the 80’s, not anymore. Definitely warrants suspension. Good clear footage, will be interesting to see what the blue coats do with this....their recent record with these sort of things has been poor

Yeah I think that's right don't think he was intending to take his head off from watching the vision but got him too high. A broken jaw will normally land a player a 6 week suspension I think this is a 3 to 4 week job depending on his record.

Umpires haven't done shit because the balls been moved out of the area immediately and as they do, they ball watch. Probably didn't even know he was on the ground.

I don’t think Palmer even got four and his hit was off the ball. If he has no record than 2 weeks and a couple suspended would be harsh enough.

If a clean record that's probably a good start ie 2 and 2. But if they rule like mr consistency Christian, there's high contact, elected to bump, high impact because of injury etc

That's why I brought up the comparison, this is on film clear as day and can see the intent. But it depends on how they rule at tribunal. Don't they go by,for lack of a better term, the "going rate", from past similar instances like the courts do? So they'll probably look at the Palmer suspension to have an idea on what to hand down.

Still at max points. I know Roota said it was a good problem to have, but christ. Side still has 2s blokes in the seniors because of the high point players, you lose 4 which don't effect points on gameday but effect any depth. Then stuffs the 2s up when they go. God forbid there's injuries. And bit late now to reorganize everything. 2 min search sees Degabriele as a 4 pointer having been a b&f in the last 3 years, plus 1 going from a premier league to CMFL. Hickman along the same lines, premier league, played at 3 club's in 3 years so extra point.
