PlayHQ showed he didn't play for Mortlake this year, he only played 2 games for Swan Hill, thats all. They announced his return on their page today, but he would have to be getting close to 40. Commenced playing seniors for Mortlake in 2008.
Same draft year as Jordan Lewis. They played for opposing teams in the Hampden League Grand Final, Warrnambool v Terang. Sinful to refer to him as a Mortlake player. He is a Terang Blood, through & through!

Same draft year as Jordan Lewis, 2004! They faced off in the 2004 Hampden League GF with T-M winning. Sacrilege to refer to him as Mortlake though. He was a Terang Blood through and through, plus it was more a takeover than merger!

All out the door as well as Barry moving to Darwin. Bad start for the tigers
Is Barry staying up in Darwin for the vic season ? Or has he retired he would be getting on a bit
John Summerhayes good local sea lake boy has signed at nnwu

Can’t imagine him retiring especially with the form he has been in for a number of years and coming off another best and fairest season but I know his grey hairs would say he’s older but he’s only 29, plenty of years left in him.

Someone here said Roarke Smith was going elsewhere out of the CMFL and Cody Henness was rumoured to be heading to Lalbert. Your guess is as good as mine as to the accuracy of the rumours. Someone also claimed Ben Fuller was off to Sea Lake.
I would imagine MacLeod will be bringing in more players, the same as he did at Lalbert, if his budget permits.
Smith gone to modewarre.
Fuller working in sea lake for bull clohesy and moving over there so sea lake will wrap him up. Not sure how he will go over there actually having to train instead of just drinking cans on a Thursday night

I read that Riddell have lost a heap of players from last year, Boga have signed 4 already so who knows if there are more to come.

Huge news out of NNWU with the signing of Darwin trio Jackson Calder (St Mary’s/Dimboola) Scott Carlin (Waratah/Terang-Mortlake) and Jonathon Ross (Southern Districts/Dimboola). Congratulations to Corey, Joel and the crew out there, great recruiting. This puts them in the box seat to amend the 2025 Grand final result.

May push some of there fringe players like Shadbolt, R. Daniels and the likes to the lunchtime league

Trent, you are obviously very knowledgeable about country footy like Roota was, if it's ok, what clubs/leagues have you played for or in. How would you rate the leagues?
I attempted to play or partipated in the central murray, golden rivers, bendigo, heathcote, Loddon Valley and mcdfl at a pretty basic level.

Lucky enough through work to have lived in different parts of the state and seen what makes good clubs. At the moment
Ovens and murray and geelong are head and shoulders above the rest of the leagues.
Gv, ballarat, Gippsland and hampden and maybe sunraysia next level.
Then bendigo, murray, central murray, bellarine west gippy, heathcote, north central, Wimmera the next level down

The rest would be pretty equal
Hope that helps
