Expecting this thread to be pretty quiet due to the poor fixturing by the SANFL putting this game on at the same time as the AFL game.

The Maggies currently sit 2nd on the ladder and Brett Eddy after kicking 3 goals last week is leading the Ken Farmer by 5 goals.

The Academy side still sit top of the ladder even though they had the bye. Robbie Young is leading the SANFL reserves goal kicking by a goal. Tyler Harris who has missed a month of footy due to injury is ranked 5th and is only behind by 2 goals.

Prediction: Port Adelaide by 39 points.

Warren Partland said yesterday that it was Centrals decision to have the game on Saturday.

When the fixture was being made Centrals told the SANFL they wanted all their home games on Saturday and they just didn't bother looking at the fact the Power were scheduled at the same time.

Partland also said come finals we will have 16 AFL listed players + Summerton + 4 other SANFL listed players.

If Summerton is injured it's 17 AFL listed players + 4 SANFL listed. Crows will have 17 + 4 regardless.

Lol, so the Sanfull passed the buck to Centrals?

Who is actually running that shitshow at West Lakes (or wherever the hell it is these days)?

You'd think the bigwigs at Sanfull HQ would look at the two fixtures and go "oh, a clash is not in our best interests. Let's move the game to Sunday or some such. That way we can maximise attendance, exposure and ground takings and s**t."

And if Centrals still be bloody-minded like "yeah, nah, Saturday"... they pull rank.

AS THE F@%KING CUSTODIANS OF THE GAME RUNNING THE SHOW AT STATE LEVEL!!!

Common. F@%king. Sense. The sooner AFLSA becomes a reality the better. Might even get a decent website out of it...

WTF. So they're basically counting Summo as an AFL player? Is this the SANFL's ruling or Port's request?

They don't give a s**t about Port Adelaide this is the 3rd time in 4 years they have deliberately asked for the Magpies game on a Saturday afternoon knowing it was directly against a Power game. They are so bitter and twisted at Centrals. (Just ask Keith Thomas )
Then they will blame Port supporters for not turning up !

Remember the AFL denied us a top up player for Angus Monfries after consulting with the other clubs.

A new face doesn't guarantee better ideas.

It's quite funny really it's like lighting a house on fire and then getting up the firefighters for not arriving fast enough to save it, don't know what they were thinking:rolleyes:

Just hopped on SportsBet's "Centrals fan to lose bearings amongst all the prisonbarrage and abuse Butcher" special.

Some say $1.06 doesn't represent value but it's better than bank interest.

why are we wasting Howard's career by playing him in defence?

It's definitely stupid that this clashes with our AFL side's match. Even though I'm a keen Doggies fan, I am not a fan of having all our home games on a Saturday, think it's time for CDFC management to change...

Kris Grant has only been there since 1977 !
They seriously need to move on.
