Just like Lynch, Prestia, Caddy. So dissapointing over the last 3 or 4 years. If only we had won at least 1 flag.Big name trades are salary cap killers, and so often disappoint.
Yep 100%. Cerra got the benefit of Brayshaw's hard work. Brayshaw killed us, he's exactly the type of player we need.We need a clearance beast , we getting smashed at contested ball, clearances, cerra is cream outside when others do the grunt work
We need to adress clearances before we look at outside distributors, a contested ball winner should be our number 1 priority.
Do we think pick 5 or 6 in this years draft is going to be better than Cerra? And if so, when do we expect them to realistically make an impact- 2026?If we could get him for pick 18 i would do it in a heartbeat. If we can fall to get pick 5 or 6 I would not trade it unless we were planning on trading up in the draft.
But if you could get Cerra for pick 18 & something smaller like a early 3rd - do it in a heartbeat
He looks like a certain 200 game player. You'd take that every day of the week with pick 1 let alone our first pick which will be 8 or so.Do we think pick 5 or 6 in this years draft is going to be better than Cerra? And if so, when do we expect them to realistically make an impact- 2026?
Our early first rounder may be enough, depending on how far we drop. It may actually require a little more, our later 2nd or perhaps an early third.
That won't get the deal done. Values him as a pick in the teens.Thoughts on 8 & 17 for Cerra & Dockers R1 (currently 11).
Head to draft with 11 25 27 41 & 45
No way we get rid of Aarts and Castagna, means Dimma will have to go as well.Aarts and Castagna
This is the way I see it. We've had to spin the magnets not just in terms of positions but also in terms of gameplan to try cover our losses, and a lot hasn't come off. We probably could have stuck to same process and as it turned out, we would've been better. But also would've given us no chance of winning the lot.People have over reacted massively this year about our downfall, facts are we have had no continuity with players and have had very very important players missing most games.
We are in a good position with or without Cerra just need to nail the draft or do a fair trade and not overpay
The AFL planned to bring rules in and have the games flowing but they have done the exact opposite, they ignored the fact that Richmond played a chaotic, gut running, high pressure, knock on flowing game style and brought in rules that have now led to chip chip uncontested footy with the ball and flooding back when the opposition has it all to preserve energy.
Hopefully we can tweak a few things gamestyle wise and have a better run with injuries and 2022 is back on!
