Just wondering peoples thoughts on Adam Cerra's game today against Eagles in the derby

Very good 1st quarter and kicked a nice goal 2 minutes into the 2nd quarter from 50mtrs out and had 12 touches at that point

finished the rest of the game nearly 3 quarters with another 9 touches ending up with 21 for the game at 66% De

Was that a $750k a year like performance when Andrew Brayshaw was out

It was the young gun Caleb Serong that stood up with 31 touches 2 goals 5 tackles and numerous clearances

Was at the game and honestly thought the same as you
Big chance to step up for the money being touted but I didn’t even have him top 5 .
Hope he stays though
Compliments the other young mids nicely .
Well rounded combination
Would be such a shame to split them up

I have been watching him closely for the past 10-12 weeks (every game) have also seen the other games but just watched them without particular attention to Cerra but just a general observer.
Usual line you get from an interstate poster is ' You dont really watch our games - I do

Cerra is a Nice player that does everything required and to a decent level but he is not elite at anything , We keep hearing about his kicking
2 weeks ago i was watching the freo game and he had 16 touches at 33% De then did better and got it to 61%
He doesnt kick goals and is not a very good runner (pressure running) He jogs a hell of alot but the freo game plan is to play through him and he collects possessions. Brayshaw & Serong - Wow both are guns but Cerra is extremely Vanilla.

Nice player but wont be a Kelly , Martin , Fyfe , Dangerfield , Bont
$750k+ at 22 years of age is crazy as is demanding 2 1st round picks

Im extremely glad Richmond is not interested. He is the type of player that would be a nice get as a Free agent

I hope he stays , you guys have a very good midfield squad emerging , I expect Freo to improve further next year too . He should sign a 2y extension and asses again at fa interval

That would be about what Freo should get for him. For that I’m ok with not getting him.

If it was our later first rounder and our early second I would do it no problem.

He will end up a Prestia type for the Blues. A very good player.

I don’t think either club would be complaining in 5 years time.

I might come under a hail of fire but I’d be pretty happy if cerra and hopper went elsewhere and we use our 2 x r1 at the draft. Next year we should be in a pretty good position to ambush a FA or two , am guessing GC and Gws might have some falling out
