I don't have a strong opinion either way as I don't watch enough freo but there is definitely a risk of overvaluing draft picks. It's like that simpsons quote where the mystery box "could be anything, even a boat!" Whilst there is a lot of excitement about the unknown potential of a draftee, the reality is if you go back over high picks most players don't live up to they hype. If cerra is someone who has lived up to his billing as a high pick then although our picks may result in someone better, on balance of probability we won't pick someone as good as him.
