Personally, watching sport without crowds makes ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENCE to me.
If anything, not having thousands of cretinous losers in the crowd actually makes the whole viewing experience better in my opinion.

Ch 7 only just figured out this year how to have all AFL games on free to air in HD quality. So, yeah, CGI is a tall order for this broadcast rabble.

The AFL could just leave them in the stadiums until crowds are allowed back and there would no need for security and behavioral awareness officers

There were M, A, R, V, E, and L tarps at the docklands last night. That's forward thinking from the AFL...I was expecting them to pull Port's old tarps out of the shed and have security dust them off pre-game.

Do what you want with the crowd but please turn the players noise down in this Crows-Swans game. It's blaring and you can't really work out what they are saying anyway, just constant noise.
should have an app that allows broadcasting the sound of everyone watching the game on tv. just set your phone on the table, allow the microphone, have it stream to the studio, and bang - instant crowd noise.

3AW last night were playing Collingwooooooooood chants towards the end of the game.
Home team should be able to control the speakers ala basketball games. Pump the team up with chants and crowd noise.
