Id be giving Maynard a run in the VFL first as hes been out a whiie.

Only one change, Wells for Varcoe. Assuming Wells doesnt get "managed" again.

McLarty to replace Cox if hes suspended but he should be cleat.
Reading between the lines of Bucks’ comments before the game, I think he might be injured.

Depending what happens to Cox, if he goes for a week, then give McClarty a debut. If Coxy only gets a fine, then my :

In : Wells
Out: Varcoe

Interesting you’d have two debutants in one round.
Could happen just unsure they’d go with that.
Also feel Thomas is not going to make way as he does roles and somehow finds goals.

But like the thinking.

Feel for varcoe but better if he never plays again. Honestly wouldn't be sad if he, wells, Reid, fasolo, Elliot goldsack, never played again. Old or injury Prone players have no future in our current position in my opinion.

I’d make an exception for Elliott at this point in time. He is a special talent and still has some time on his side. I can be patient with him cause the risk/reward is significant.

Unsure how you came to that.
Nathan just batted the question to the covers and took two easy runs with it, nice defensive stroke with a little extra push.
Good stroke.

Wells will be playing I’d be quite sure.

Wells for Varcoe is an obvious one.

Maynard or Murray for Appleby and Greenwood is probably another I'd consider.

Would prefer a lot more drive off half back especially on the wider expanses of the MCG.

If Cox is suspended…possibly McLarty but I don't mind going small either if need be.

Struggling to see Grundy battle Sandi solo if Cox is rubbed out

It'll be simple this week.

Out: Varcoe (inj)
In: Wells

Daicos will be given a few games to see if he can get up the pace at AFL level so I don't see him being left out.

Adams would firmly be in the gun after that shocking first half, but those (nearly) two goals and the aggression he brought in the second half probably saved him for another couple of weeks I suspect (the club desperately wants and needs him to rediscover his 2017 form and we'll need his toughness against Melbourne on the old luv's b'day)...

I know Thomas hits the score board & god knows we need that. But he certainly has some weaknesses as far as getting his own ball goes at times. The debutants were more in line of thinking if Cox misses who gives Grundy a chop out? Sier has earned a debut but has not been rewarded. Just an opinion.

Edit. Cox escapes with a fine. McLarty not required now.

Cal Brown was appalling against Geelong. And thoroughly deserved to be dropped.

If everyone got dropped on the back of a bad game we'd have dropped the whole squad this year at varying points. There were many passengers vs Geelong.

He was great for first 4 rounds.
