Wells for Varcoe is a no brainer.

I do feel like this would be a good game for Wills to play. Fyfe is a threat in stoppages and wins contested possies at will although no Sandi may take his edge away. Popping a big body like Wills next to him will make him really earn his pay and make the day difficult. Potentially Adams out for Wills. Adams is still not quite there with his form although he keeps having a crack. Would like to see him go to VFL and dominate a game and find some touch.

I’m a fanboy but I think Thomas was great on Friday. Don’t know the stats but seemed to have a few good extractions in the middle that led to centre clearances.

His issue was not just turning it over. He went 3 games in a row where he couldn't win a one on one. If you can't defend you can't play there.

I dare say he will be in the 2nds till he learns to defend one on one.

I've gone from Adams next captain to nearly agreeing. Sorry but in a side (even in the losses) looking good and potentially challenging his disposal stands out like the proverbial dogs ......

Either a 22nd picked for inside ball (like Watson for the dons in the final last year) or not at all. If a player offers the grunt and hardness + skill sorry but you may be correct. I get skills break down in finals but you can't have a bloke who misses 30m targets. Who knows what might happen then.

And I am a fan. If a Scott West type role exists 1st picked. Otherwise a harsh no for me.
