Means nothing. Taking a contested mark in a pack is all well and good, but when they're taken while your opponent is on the other side of the field and subsequently gets a ball from a turnover, or you take the mark somehwere up on the wing, that's not defensive play.

Yes of course. If it was Kenny McGregor or Ben Rutten who was third in the league for contested marks you'd feel the exact same way.

Thurstans played ONE good game against WCE. Other than that, he has been, and still is, a dud.

He drops out of the game worse than Scott Stevens...actually, I'd put him about on par with Scotty Stevens!

24, rarely injured, one of the very best contested marks in the league (top 3 easily), a match winning forward or a match winning attacking CHB. They dont grow on trees. You'd be paying thru the nose to get him.

I doubt there is much substance to the rumour. Chads never made any indication that he would ever want to play for the Crows or anyone else. The only link between him and the Crows is Graham. He'd be on a healthy salary as it is.

As for our salary cap id say we'd have plenty of room to backload Cornes contract so hes getting a bloody good wage considering we will most likely lose Primus, Francou, Wanganeen, Hardwick, Wakelin and maybe James and Bishop over the next 1-2 seasons.

Gee Macca19 when you put it that way you guys do have alot of older players on your list.....Next year the folowing will all be 30+ - Wangas, Bishop, Primus, Francou, Scholfield, James, Kinglsey, Monty, Wakelin and Pickett, Wilson, Lade and Poutlon will all be 28+, with Hardwick the only possible retirement......It's a pity there isn't a seniors competition??
