Adrian Barich says its 50-50 between Collingwood and Fremantle for Tarrant.

This isn't a dig at you as you are just reporting what you heard, but how can it be 50-50 between us and Freo?

Tarrant is contracted foe next season, if what Fremantle put on the table isn't good enough for us we should walk away and keep Tarrant.

That 50-50 that Barich mentions is a load of crap.

Fletcher for Tarrant?

Why do we want another slow, old midfielder who cant kick.

Schammer :thumbsu:

Well done Collingwood , sometimes you have to admit you have been beaten, you won.

It tells if me that an AA premiership player (2006 ), and our first round draft pick is not good enough.

Then we have tried to be fair with you, this is not a shyte offer, and I respect your position to say NO.

We have given it our best shot and sometimes that doesn' t cut it. Trading is a difficult process , especialy when a player is still under contract. Take comfort from the fact that we thought highly enough of Tarrant to make you a serious offer.

Thank you ball boys thank you linesmen. Game , set and Match.

Some of the Collingwood supporters really do underate Fletcher

It's hard to crack a AA birth as a midfeilder in any given year. He has undeniable talent as a ball magnet but having said that is probably not the player Collingwood are after.

Personally i can't see either Freo or WCE trading there 1st round pick and a young up and coming midfielder for Tarrant as his form in recent years dosen't justify it. More so in this years super draft

Isn't Schammer just a young, slow midfielder who can't kick?

Yes, Schammer is incredibly slow  . His kicking is good, however this year CC played him in a position where he wasnt suited and therefore he lost confidence and his kicking was poor.

Assuming Tarrant does stay how do the Collingwood fans think he will respond on the field next year? Will he attempt to prove the club wrong for considering to trade him or will he lose interest/confidence knowing he only has a year to go on his contract and can leave after that?

I took it to mean that there's a 50% chance Collingwood will strike a deal with Fremantle but if they don't Tarrant will stay put.

Seems a fair enough assessment IMO.

I may be one of them as I don’t rate him highly. Maybe we are sick off dud slow poke West Coast trades (it all started with Wrensted) and we’ve had it up to here with Chads (it all stared with Liddell). One hundred and thirty times bitten twice shy.

The more time goes on the more I’m leaning to one last hurrah for Taz. I’d be asking for Waters and 16 take it or leave and then walk away. Give Freo a similar oncer and walk away. Then get Tarrant onto a performance deal for two years and push him out after 1 if he doesn’t finish top 6 in the Copeland. Enough stuffing around!

Oh FFS not again!!!!!
Oh, sorry you said rejected. I can’t believe it. Rejected. Hallelujah!

Where were they when someone offered Chad Morrison? I think this time someone hide the stash come trade time.

schammer is a shocking kick, but he is quick.
If he's kicking is shocking, why would Freo play him back pocket and make him kick in from points? He's a good kick who was down on confidence.

I gather that those in the know at WCE would actually rate Waters higher than tarrant in terms of trade value

FWIW, i don't think Fletcher is the type of player the Pies want/need. I was just pointing out that he is however a very good midfielder.
