Issue for WC right now is Chads looking more like the cream than the engine room.

Could be... and a lot of WC fans would be happy to see him sign for 2 more and then we go after him as a FA.

But another experienced mid wouldn't hurt at this stage.

Zero interest in trading for him this year. I've said it all along.

The hell we'd blow most of our top capital on a bloke who struggles being the main man? Would be worse than the Kelly trade.

Also, Hewett plays pretty much the same way, except he's better inside. Don't need 2 very similar mids, we need a proper inside mid, a balanced mid and a key defender.

Sounds like he's only signing for 2 years anyway, so there's zero point wasting our picks now when we can just have another shot in 2028.

Huge signing for the Swans.

If one of the best players in the league offers to extend his contract you do it.

Will be a restricted free agent in a few years as well so can always match if he decides to leave, but you never know may be able to convince him to stay.

Wonderful, considering the expiring contracts we have over the next few years, we should be in a good spot to match rather than accept a single 1st rounder in a compromised Tasmania draft.

2.0 and gut our entire draft capital for a bloke who'll get exposed to all the attention because he's playing with bang average players.

Keep all our picks and just have to give up salary cap space the next time he's out of contract. A win/win for all concerned.

Though if I'm the Swans I don't know why you wouldn't be inclined to letting him have a closer look at West Coast..We'd have to give them multiple picks in the first round with a couple of them being top 5/10 picks.
