You honestly think north have a better midfield then us?

I think what he is saying is that they consistently beat us, often by fairly comfortable margins.

Look at us trying to talk ourselves down. Don't want none of that unwarranted hype before the season starts to rank expectation. Yet in the mid to late part of the season if/when things aren't going so well, no doubt someone will bring up this story as a reason for Hardwick to be sacked because he hasn't been able to get more out of the 4th best midfield group in the league.

Guys, it's not rating how good the players are. It's rating how effective and damaging the whole midfielders (including flankers who rotate through) possessions are.

Good, every reason to demand a finals finish and then some

Slapped down expectation straight away;)

With our game plan this year we should have been ranked 19th.

No. If things are not going well mid to late season, this will be well down the list of things to blame Hardwick for. The noise will be loud from every angle for him ( not just from in here).
I guess it's the same point with giving up good picks for kids for mature age players, as they are going to the midfield and created this high ranking.
So if Prestia and Caddy play every week, get 25-20+ possies each ,and a goal or two between them, but we are still bottom 6 come r11, some list decisions will be needed (on top of the coach decision).

Earlier this year, if you told me we'd lose Deledio and still have a top 4 midfield in 2017......

Congrats to the list management guys this year.

This. North's team has a wealth of big bodied inside midfielders which was the cryptonite to us, relying as we did on Cotchin and Miles to win the ball. The addition of Prestia and and Caddy to the mix totally changes that equation.
Yes that but more the fact 3 of there best players retired
