i need btts/madrid win and gent win and i win 810 bucks.

so that.
It's such a tricky sport to bet on sometimes.
I could definitely see Roma somehow getting an arsey goal and parking the bus for a draw.
Would like to see Real win though, hopefully they get an early goal or two.

i dont see madrid not winning. they're far too good for an ordinary roma side. but roma are probably plucky enough to get a goal against a side who zidane hasn't been able to completely get going on the road. if bets can i think roma can.

gent/wolfsburg is much tighter, but i got pretty fortunate last night with draw ht/psg ft with mikel scoring right at the end of the first half and jonas scoring in like the 91st min, so let it roll.

hey is that the time where steven gerrard slipped and lost the premier league title for his lifelong club liverpool?
I thought this was a discussion thread about Champions League teams?
.. I tried saving us Redmen from the hurt of 13/14, ended up making it worse..

How is it biased?
My thought process:
  1. You support a club (Chelsea) from another league (BPL).
  2. Therefore I assume you watch BPL more than Ligue Un.
I would also say that your comment is slightly hypocritical because:
  1. You have acknowledged Veratti plays well against all the clubs from within Ligue Un.
  2. You have alleged that it is not hard for Veratti to play well in Ligue Un because it is a non-competitive league (as you say a "Mickey Mouse league").
  3. Yet you have also acknowledged Veratti plays well against your club (which is non-competitive within the league I assume you watch most frequently).
I just think that Veratti is a super footballer that would, on the evidence of his performances in Ligue Un and in the CL, would perform very well in the BPL.

I'd take Veratti at Chelsea in a heart beat. Always plays well against us.
I'd be interested to see how he'd go in the BPL. Imo he'd be a Brenda type player though. Not sure how he'd cope with a lack of size, though Modric went ok I guess.

Wow, what a load of shit. You've taken my post out of context here. My dig was more so at the quality of Ligue 1, not at Verratti. First of all, I've stated on this forum many of times before how much I rate him. I'm pretty sure in the Player X vs Player Y thread you can quote me saying I would rather Verratti than Pogba in my side. Everyone at Chelsea rates him and I just acknowledged that he dominates us every time we play PSG. I also said recently on here that if I could have one midfielder playing next to Matic it would be Vidal or Verratti. Nice try though.

I was also criticsing the ridiculous nature of the comment "he dominates every team" and I just said it wouldn't be hard when you're playing for such a dominant team in such a weak league. And yes, I think it is a weak league. PSG, who are no Barcelona or Bayern Munich, are 24 points clear halfway through February. I'm sorry, but if that isn't a reflection of a weak league then I don't know what is. My mate is a campaigner PSG supporter so I see them more often than not. I also watch Monaco replays regularly because of Mario Pasalic. I watch as much as I can of our players on loan, especially the young ones who are pushing for a spot in our squad, so don't assume I never see any Ligue 1. I see enough to back up my comments.

Also, how could I be biased when I just acknowledged Chelsea were "pretty much" one of those Mickey Mouse teams? The EPL isn't the strongest it has ever been but if you think Verratti would find it as easy in England as he does in France then you're deluded. He would do well, but as Flameboy pointed out that's a lot different to dominating every team (which is what I was originally criticising).
