The real red devils
I'd be interested to see how he'd go in the BPL. Imo he'd be a Brenda type player though. Not sure how he'd cope with a lack of size, though Modric went ok I guess.
While the English and German leagues are more physical than the southern European ones, that doesn't mean every player on the team needs to be tall and muscular. There are plenty of small players who've succeeded and excelled in those leagues.

Wow, what a load of shit. You've taken my post out of context here. My dig was more so at the quality of Ligue 1, not at Verratti. First of all, I've stated on this forum many of times before how much I rate him. I'm pretty sure in the Player X vs Player Y thread you can quote me saying I would rather Verratti than Pogba in my side. Everyone at Chelsea rates him and I just acknowledged that he dominates us every time we play PSG. I also said recently on here that if I could have one midfielder playing next to Matic it would be Vidal or Verratti. Nice try though.

I was also criticsing the ridiculous nature of the comment "he dominates every team" and I just said it wouldn't be hard when you're playing for such a dominant team in such a weak league. And yes, I think it is a weak league. PSG, who are no Barcelona or Bayern Munich, are 24 points clear halfway through February. I'm sorry, but if that isn't a reflection of a weak league then I don't know what is. My mate is a campaigner PSG supporter so I see them more often than not. I also watch Monaco replays regularly because of Mario Pasalic. I watch as much as I can of our players on loan, especially the young ones who are pushing for a spot in our squad, so don't assume I never see any Ligue 1. I see enough to back up my comments.

Also, how could I be biased when I just acknowledged Chelsea were "pretty much" one of those Mickey Mouse teams? The EPL isn't the strongest it has ever been but if you think Verratti would find it as easy in England as he does in France then you're deluded. He would do well, but as Flameboy pointed out that's a lot different to dominating every team (which is what I was originally criticising).
I have taken your post alone.

You have now given it context. I am unaware that you rate him higher than Pogba.

It was the best game i've seen from Cristiano in a long time, he was legitimately dangerous just about every time he had the ball in that second half

I tell you what it gets very predictable on here sometimes.... Manchester United fans love Cristiano and Liverpool fans love Cannibal Suarez..... both fighting over 2nd place.Nobody can seriously with a straight face mount an argument that either come close to how good Messi is. Made worse by each set of fans rubbishing the other player. No wonder people are loving seeing someone like Leicester up near the top

i see the totally unbiased poster by the name of LeoMessi is back.
It's good to see the same "I'm unbiased but EPL is the best thing, like, ever and C.Ronaldo is better bc he played in the best league in the world" posters. Hope you've been well all

Question

Between Messi and R9 who do you think was better at the following
- Finishing
- Dribbling
- Technique
- Pace/acceleration

Ok I rate Ronaldo as the best player I'd seen before Messi.

Finishing - Messi
Dribbling - Ronaldo
Technique - Messi
Acceleration - Messi
Full flight pace - Ronaldo
Ball control - Messi

We'll have no trouble getting past Barca's suspect back 5. Only problem is stopping the greatest player of all time. Neymar is overrated, no better than Alexis. And Suarez doesn't have a good record against Arsenal.

Our midfield > theirs, quite comfortably.

Should be a high scoring affair on Tuesday night, with Arsenal edging out the Catalans. Hopefully Barca's inevitable consolation away goal doesn't come back to bite us in the second leg.
