I think the Inglis/Carey situation in the last month has proven you just pick your best batting lineup if they happen to both be keepers stiff shit you don't omit one based on it.

That's been the situation in the women's team for years - Healy has been a lock behind the stumps (except for injury) with Mooney playing as a specialist batter in ODIs & T20s since Jan/Feb 2016, and in Tests since Nov 2017

Also means you've got a back-up keeper in the squad who's been around the set up should they be required

Don't think that's ever been in doubt.

That was some chase, Inglis is that really good middle order bat and boy it’s a better lineup not having JFM spudding it up.

Hopefully take some confidence as our big two bats literally did nothing in Travis and Smith.

Awesome Luke

Carey and Inglis partnership was superb they set it up beautifully and targeted the correct bowlers to go after

Great chase

Told you to be patient bro 😎

That’s tons in all three formats not many have done that for Australia
who else comes to mind, glenn maxwell, david warner, shane watson are all i can think of

We played them like a fiddle in the end, excellent tactics and individual performances. I still worry about our bowling a bit, but couldn’t have asked for a better response with the bat.

With this attack we just have to hope for the best. Dwarshius probably better than expected. Despite not getting a wicket Ellis was fantastic only 5 an over on that pancake pitch. Zampa finally bowled better than he has. I’d probably play Abbott over Johnson to be honest both likely to get smoked but Abbott can bat

If you told anyone we’d chase 351 with Head and Smith doing nothing you’d be calling for the straight jacket. That’s the positive neither will go a whole tournament doing nothing

I thought the bowlers all put in a good workman like performance, with Dwarshius and Zampa being the picks.

On Abbot v Spencer, I dunno, probably depends on the pitch as I think they’re both much of a muchness overall.

Surprised they didn’t take Bartlett

Spencer was pretty ordinary not sure we need him plus Dwarshius. It’s annoying we don’t have a second spinner that’s ready right now would be ideal. Hardie would be the other option think we may prioritise a bit of batting depth

Im just not sure Abbot offers anything more. Our batting already goes fairly deep

Abbott would be a brain dead idea

Did you not see us cart Carse around last nignt
He is experienced and he can hold the bat..... our only backup on tour

Its very light on the bowling...thought Hardie should've played last night ...I thought hards bowled well opening the bowling in Sri Lanka

Marnus batted well last night until he threw it away again...and he did take two wickets but I see him as the change if needed

Johnston was poor..but he is our quickest over there

Dwars got some poles

Ellis bowled well kept the rate down

Zamps good in patches

Maxi bowled pies all night

Hardie would be fine and we don’t really bat deep when 9-11 are bunnies and it’s generous calling Dwarshius reliable with the willow
