Id imagine the best scenario now is Pakistan hoping Bangladesh to beat NZ, to keep their slim chances of making the semi-finals alive. Hard to see NZ beating India at a ground where they will be playing their 3rd match there.

NZ are an interesting one. Unlike England, i am likewise happy/indifferent for them to win if Aust are out, but when playing them -- esp over the ditch -- they transform into just about our most fiercest rival. Really should be playing them every 2 years.

Yeah my support for Pakistan this tournament is as much for their cricket-starved locals as much it is an anti Indian sentiment. If they wanted to boycott the tournament, do it, but dont compromise the whole tournament

I get you but it is just a risk matrix. Any attack on an Indian team would probably on the extreme side so why take the risk when it's not necessary.

Agreed. If Pakistan can play in India, like the 2023 WC, India can return the favour. But it's akin to South Korea playing North Korea in Pyongyang. Just not going to happen
