How was Swifty's game??

Didn't get a heap of it, only 10 possies. But didn't look too bad, just needs a bit more gametime to get a feel for it. He still looks a bit tentative at times.

I'd probably leave out McKinley for Cox next week, Lynch, Naita and Cox to play forward/ruck looks bloody good to me :thumbsu:

Speaking of Swift, how good was that one handed pick up in the third quarter i think it was

Loved it.

I feel like we should persist with Swift in the same way we kept giving games to Masten and Ebert. Will become one of our best.

Swift was miles ahead of DeBoar and he's been showing massive improvement with game time for Freo.

I'd like to see no changes, unless Masten's groin is sore or Cox wants back in.

I thought Swift was really clean and his decision making was good.

I wonder if we'll ever see him do the type of stuff he was doing in u16's?

Can't wait to see him bulk up this pre-season. :D

We did see him do similar things at WAFL level. He's a pure center, he put himself in the right positions all night but struggled (with a bit of bad luck) to get his hands on it. Was very clean and played an excellent defensive and negative game tonight, i would retain him, especially against Melbourne.

He did a heap of running and im also very much looking forward to him getting a solid preseason.

I think all you can ask of a young bloke is to keep improving game by game. Swift is doing that, and under that condition he should stay. Quiet first half but he got himself into it and for the most part looked pretty good once he did.

Swift had 73 out of 135 mins time on ground. That's a bit over half game time. Seems like he and Nat are still being eased in.

IN : McGinnity, Nicoski
OUT: Masten, Swift

Give Masto a week off if his groins a little sore. Ditto to Swift. Give him some full gametime in the WAFL and bring him back Round 18.

Masten yes if he's saw. Was rested late in the game so that suggests he is.
Swifts playing as instructed with limited game time, so he ticks all the boxes if hes doing as asked.

No reason to bring back Nicoski.
