IN : McGinnity, Nicoski
OUT: Masten, Swift

Give Masto a week off if his groins a little sore. Ditto to Swift. Give him some full gametime in the WAFL and bring him back Round 18.

From what Worsfold was saying it seems there may be no point in giving Masten a rest as he will get better with more game time. It is just the matter of getting back more fitness in the muscle after the operation.

If this is the case, then Masten may as well play on. He is certainly contributing and, better yet, improving.

Swift NEEDS to be in the team more than any of our other young players IMO

i disagree

swift needs football and more football

he is going to get a lot more game time in the wafl than he will in the afl - so i reckon a run in the wafl could be good for him

Barring injuries I would say no change at all. Show faith with the 22 that got the job done. Unless Cos is right to go of course. Make anyone else really fight for their spot.

It was pleasing that guys like Lynch stepped up in the absence of the Big Cox. Dare I say it may have been a good thing for him to miss one or two weeks to help some players step up.

Swift didn't really come into the game till the 2nd half. Barely sighted in the first.

Despite the fact that everyone seems to have a man-crush on Spangher but me, I think he did alright. Was used as a rebounding defender rather than a one on one which suited him much better. Don't trust the guy to beat anyone one on one but really hit his straps pushing up.

Probably the two that let us down a little bit were Swift and Butler. Dropping either one is kind of pointless as I think they both need extended runs in the seniors...

So Changes = none. Give Coxy another one off as Melb's rucks are atrocious

Just as an outsider looking in (and I watched the entire game) I thought Swift showed enough last night.

He was by no means prolific, probably only had it 10 times, but he got involved in a few link ups and created well with his hands.

Just wish he would find the confidence to use it by foot. But he looked ok to me.:thumbsu:

Not playing an offensive role, 54% game time in the back line or tracking a player as a negative midfielder. Did allot of running when he was on so his work rate was ok. Should play against Melbourne.

No changes unless we have injuries.

Maybe Masten's groin needs a week off... Timmy to come in?

How about Scott Selwood!!! looks more like Chris Judd every game. Breaking tackles everywhere very exciting. Oh yea and there's some guy with dreadlocks who is also quite good. :D

I would like to see Swift in an offensive role. He was very tight in defense but because he was the ball went to the opposite side.

Hunter, Cox and Nico could come back in if they are injury free.

If I really had to choose someone to come out it would be Spangher, McKinley, Stinga or Wirra. Neither of them deserve it but I would have Nicoski ahead of Spanger and Hunter ahead of McKinley. Cox could possibly still be injured and a week off for him wouldnt be too much of a concern if he needed it.

Id keep Swift, Butler, Masten, Ebert ect.. all in because they all need as many games as possible.

I've never been a big Spangher fan, but I thought he was fantastic on Saturday. Provided good run early and blanketed Mark Williams.

I think we should leave the side the same. How good did it look playing only two tall forwards with Lynch in the ruck! Don't ruin that structure. Give Cox another week.

Possible inclusions should be Fletcher, Houlihan and McGinnity. Winning away from home would be a fantastic confidence boost for the group, so I'd consider playing Fletcher as a once-off. He genuinely played very well for Subi on the weekend and should come under consideration. It'd also be good to see Houlihan and McGinnity get a run sooner rather than later. Swift would probably be the one to miss out, but I'd prefer he played for now.

Could Butler possibly be the one to miss out if someone comes in? Admittedly I wasnt following his game closely but he didnt seem to get alot of it.

No change please.

We did well without the clanger kings Nicoski and McNamara - don't know why anyone would want to bring them back after that win! Sounds like Cox needs another week off.

Butler only had the 12 possessions, and was pretty quiet. But I'd prefer him to stay in the side.

This might be the week to give anyone with niggling injuries a week off. Melbourne aren't the highest quality opponent and it could give some of the newer draftees a run if they are worth it.

Although I dont think we should change anyone as i said previously would be nice to see this

In: Houlihan Wilkes McGinnity J Jones Smith
Out: Spangher Kerr Glass Embley McKinley

ps. Nottanking:P

Yes Swift probably contributed the least but that is why I think he is still getting games. Adjusting to the tempo. Did they ramp up his game time this week or did they leave it at 50%?
