Re: Knighter: Fletcher and Welsh WILL Play!

Welsh, Fletcher and Winderlich are all confirmed starters.

Will Slattery still come in?

Maybe Welsh into defense as the small defender, Spike into the midfield?

B- Welsh - Pears - Fletcher
HB - Dempsey - Hooker - Houli

Looks pretty strong imo.

Fletchers inclusion will free up Hooker to pinch hit in the ruck when required.

Re: Knighter: Fletcher and Welsh WILL Play!

Again, Bendigo don't play until the 28th. We ever give them match fitness against Melbourne or the don't play until the sydney game.

Oh yeah. In that case I'd play Fletcher and co.

No chance. Johnson is improving but they aren't of a better standard than Maric and Moran.

Neither Maric nor Moran are cemented within the Adelaide side. I don't understand all the hype about Moran from opposition supporters. He hasn't shown anything to suggest he could be a great player and he is already at his second club.

Jamar is a heavily underrated ruckman. Remember that Melbourne essentially chose him over Jolly a few years ago. Johnson has the ablity to change a game. His problem is consistency. He is extremely athletic for a man his size and could trouble us around the ground.

Re: Knighter: Fletcher and Welsh WILL Play!

Hopefully the final score is something like Melbourne 6.6.42 Essendon 25.15.165, and Lloydy comes back from his poor form and kicks 8 or 9 goals. Should be good! Looking forward to the return of Winderlich, too, he's a star.

Re: Knighter: Fletcher and Welsh WILL Play!

LOL at people even suggesting Fletcher should return via the VFL. What planet are you on?

Above all his abilities Im just glad to have him back to take the kick ins!

I think Monfries may get the chop, Hocking will stay in, with Fletch, Welsh and
Winders in.The week after Lovett- Murray will be right to go and possibly Hurley so selection is going to be tough..good to see at last our side is coming
together..just hope injuries stay away for rest of the year.Slattery also to come back in.

INS: Fletcher, Winderlich, Welsh
OUTS: Skipworth, Zaharakis, Neagle? Houli? Monfries? Lonergan? Davey?

Hocking definitely needs to stay as does Hooker. I can't imagine Lonergan going either. That third spot is a tough one. Perhaps Knights will leave one of Welsh or Winderlich out this week and he'll drop a poor performer or injured played from the Melbourne game.

Either way its a fantastic position to be in!!!!!!!!

can't we just bring a few in and not drop anyone? i wouldn't be totally against a few extras on the field.

seriously though, i reckon Hooker will be rested and possibly Zaka. Maybe lonergan to fit welsh in. hard to say.

Can't see Neagle getting dropped despite the 3 talls scenario.

The three ins are obvious.

I would've thought they'd keep Hooker to pinch-hit in the ruck, especially with Fletcher returning.
Knights has already said Neagle will play, so I don't understand why he keeps bobbing up in people's "outs".

There's no way Neagle wouldn't play, if Knights was smart (and he is) he would've noticed the fact that our three talls would be able to annihilate Melbourne's "backline"

IN: Fletcher, Welsh, Winderlich
OUT: Zaharakis, Neagle, Lonergan

I believe skipwroth deserves to keep his place in the team, played well against adelaide especially in the last quarter, for some reason he doesnt get much game time though

Considering our ruck concerns & todays news Fletch will play.

Welsh I am not so sure about.

Given Welshy hasn't played all year, and considering just how low on match fitness our team is with the recent inclusion of Mcveigh, Prizza, Reimers Skippy & the week off - it might be too much for us. I can't see him playing, but next week - he would be a good inclusion V Blues.

Winders is a lock.

Until I get a training report I like the following :

In's: Fletch, Winders
Outs: Zaha, Skippy

How can Welsh play agianst carlton on the 26th when bendigo's next game is on the 28th.
