Hey mods - this is a great idea. Are we allowed / should we create a thread on another club board offering our membership numbers for locals to buy tickets?

It's the sort of thing I normally jump into then two days later think about, and work out why it was a bad idea.
I don't think there's anything stopping you but don't we use get the same throughout the finals? i.e. you're trusting that come our home final whoever you offered your number to doesn't jump in and grab your allocation before you.

I guess it would be easier/safer if you organised the person to buy the tickets for you. Might be too much work for some people though.

I really hope we flick Birchell- there is nothing he does that makes up for his deficiencies. The elite kick thing is a myth. On another note who was the poster that was as continuously banging on about dropping Daniher.? Obviously feeling very stupid but wondering what the thoughts are now????? We all get things wrong but sheesh what an horrendous agenda that was.
What, you think that a close to goal forward who kicks 4 goals in a match is proof of his greatness? geeeeez! If you get to play goal square Full Forward in a team that's flying high and don't kick at least 3 per game then you are under par. Daniher finished 11th in the goalkicking. 45 goals in 22 matches is WAYYYYYY under par. Bailey fricken Fritch was better. In addition Danihers lack of competitiveness in the ruck has meant we now have to play Fullarton which unbalances us even more. His kicking for goal is horrible, his effort is often non existent, his marking is average.

And how much do we pay him?

Nice to get another perspective.

He's a high possession FF so maybe he's doing a few things other than kick goals.

We're comfortably the highest scoring team. No issues with our forwardline. Easily the best in the AFL

Fagan and Co's modus operandi is to have multiple avenues to goal to spread the load not to rely on 1 big weapon to kick your goals, too easy to counter for the opposition when you only have 1-2 go to avenues to goal.

We have 6 players who have kicked over 25 goals this season.

Has a bit of Melbourne 2018 vibes. Huge scores but not the greatest defense. Interesting to see how this will work for us this week.

We need to get rid of those other pesky forwards who insist on kicking a share of our total goals and go back to a goal square FF who is always targeted by our inside 50 entries.

Or not.

We have had two patches this year where we have been quite poor. We won many games in a row and are flying at the moment.

I cannot say which Lions team will turn up on Saturday.

Prior looks a competent, well organised player while Kiddy has a bit of magic about him.

Prior=Brad Scott

Kiddy=Chrissie Johnson

Robbo back in so one of these will miss out.

Hang on, hang on- it actually sounds like you are doubling down. So you are still actually running with Daniher should not get a game. ? Cripes. Just for completeness who are you wanting to bring in?

Pretty myopic definition of "par" for a forward and a misunderstanding of Joes role. He's ranked no.2 out of all forwards for inside 50s and score involvements, plus hitting the scoreboard himself and being a key cog in the comps. no. 1 forward line.

If you only value individual goal numbers, perhaps you'd like to ask Carlton if they are happy with 13th spot and the Coleman medal?

I really like Prior’s body work and positioning when he has to compete for the ball. For someone his age he can take a strong mark. It is also helpful that he has had a decent run of seniors footy this year so that when the time comes for him to replace someone permanently the transition will be a lot easier for the team.

Hey, imagine our scores if we had a FF who could catch it instead of trying to take mark of the century when a chest mark would work.

I agree mate, He's going to be a big lump of a kid when he grows! He's listed at about 188cm or something but he looks a similar height to Darcy Gardiner. He's a beauty. Same with all our younguns. Kiddy looks better every week, Robertson is going to be an A grader.

Nah mate, that ship has sailed.......we're stuck with him now. Once we decided to sign him we cut off all other avenues that were open to us. I've said before that we should have looked and saved our money for another onballer. I thought Andrews would be a great FF and together with Rayner(at the time)would be a tough match up for any defence. Moving Andrews out would open the door to developing the full extent of his skill. It would also allow us to use Gardiner, Adams and Payne as our 3 tall defenders. We also thought we were getting a second ruck with Joe but now we have to use Fullarton, (who isn't really ready) to cover for Joes terrible ruck efforts and lack of pressure.

Been listening to some of the football "experts" and not many give us any chance. It's all Melbourne, Melbourne, Melbourne, but they only won that game due to Geelong coughing up one of the biggest choke of all time...

I think Melbourne has too many good players not to be very hard to beat on their day.

Would've much preferred Geelong who fell on their feet losing that game now getting to play PA instead of us.

As far as Dev goes he played well enough in the games he played but not as well as many people imagined. He's a promising player and can hopefully improve next year.
