I actually think we will string a few wins together. GWS and Port are the first two cabs off the rank.
add the two we have won since the bye, then the three home games after these two.
I'd settle for another 3 in a row for a start.
Edit My mistake we have an away game after the Nth game then its the three at home.

So the sole purpose of your visit and your interaction here is to what? Start a little internet spat? You are not worth it. Oh look, ignore key.
Is your sole purpose on here to bag a 19 year old kid out so you feel better about yourself.

Maybe you should respond to your own posts again so you get the validation you’re so desperately seeking.

Seeing as our reserves smashed the GWS reserves, I’m expecting a 10 goal win for the senior team.

GWS’s big weakness is Mummy in the ruck. Essendon knocked him around until he was a non factor in the last quarter and he simply ran out of legs.

Lions by 76.

I just think we are ready to click. Martin is just about in career best form and our midfield is flying. Defensive unit is settled and players like Christensen have hit form. If we can get consistency in our forward half we are going to be top four. Three out of last four games at the GABBA is a gift.

Yep, I think the last missing piece of our top 4 jigsaw is our KPFs Hippy and McStay consistently kicking 3-5 goals a game between them, with the occasional 4-6 bag haul to one of them, as Hippy has done twice this year.

I also think Rayner is a bees .... away from tearing a game open, hopefully v the Giants this weekend.

Bit early for Adams I'd have thought. If it were me I'd give him another couple of reserves games before even thinking about picking him.

We need a third tall defender and he's had two weeks of games, one of which with full game time which he ran out well.

Gotta be honest Jason Cam hasn't looked like it this year until last week when he could've kicked 3 or 4 but for poor disposal and dropped marks.

I'll just be really happy if he can play a solid consistent game with no clangers.

Expectation has obviously been too high. Our other forwards have all been strong contributors at times . You can't expect them to all fire at the same time but just two of them having great games and the rest playing high pressure with tackles, keeping it in and giving it off is enough to see us win most games with adequate supply.

Adams forward and McStay back could be a surprising genius move that would improve both areas .

McStay has always struck me as a straight ahead player and he has pace for someone his size..

I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen before the years out

Hope so.

They already kick just over 3 between them on average.

Likewise; he’s getting closer and I wouldn’t be dropping him based on his output the last fortnight, irrespective of four absolute howlers in yesterday’s game, which I’m sure Fagan would’ve been livid with and let him know in no uncertain terms.

Now, if saying a kid should be dropped countless times throughout the year is bagging him and upsetting the sensitive types in here, when let’s be honest, if it was just about anyone else, those same people would be saying the same, then what I can say.

But if people are saying those that have been critical of him (when in all honesty it’s not Cam’s fault the match committee keep selecting him (where the real criticism has been directed)) don’t want the best for him, then clearly you’ve got your hand on it.

Has there been a common thread in the games GWS has lost this year that might give an idea what their main weakness is ... and hopefully it is something that is also a strength of ours.

Two main weaknesses:
- Pressure on the ball carrier and surrounding players, something we did really poorly on the weekend with Melbourne getting clean breaks away.
- Aggressive zoning on defense combined with pinpoint short passes to deconstruct their zone. Something we're actually quite good at.

We really need to focus on not getting sucked to the ball because if they get two or three free players running through the middle with the ball like Melbourne did, they won't be kind enough to repeatedly kick the ball to their players' disadvantage.

Like has been said many times before it is the personal insults and the God awful ad nauseam repetition of the same point over and over that grinds on people. Not like you didn't know that though.

In: Witherden
Out: Big O

Didn't mind Starce down back despite the low possession numbers. Think it is probably more likely he goes out for Witho but wouldn't be surprised to see Lester dropped instead with an eye to the future.

Maybe this thing re Rayner has got a little out of hand Dylan . Fwiiw I've generally agreed with your comments and hoped a spell in the twos would take the pressure off him. There's no chance of that happening and I think we all want the best for him and for the team . I've seen the 2nd year blues many many times,he's got a dose of that , he's only 19 , the signs have been better the last 2 weeks despite me just shaking my head at various stages. But in the end it's only small stuff , people on a blog arguing about one player in a club no one else pays much attention to.

Time to forget it .We need him to be a long term player and we need him firing. For the time being all he needs to do is play a role ,doesn't need to be a hero ,he has the talent to hold a spot in the team and just focus on his hardness at the ball and his tackling. The rest will come in time.

Given Pancho Gonzales hasn't been seen for two months, anyone want to put their hand up for this week's preview?
Taking on a team like GWS we really need someone like Sausages To predict lions by 10 goals and how sausages came up with that. Then we can all agree and feel pumped for sunday.

Well said.

Gee I'm impressed 3KZ, you seem very mature for your age.

Is the over 50s clique thread part of a school project or some cruel joke on us older folk?
Ha! No they actually give the teachers a ‘holiday’ as well. Good one too because it is the end of Semester and I have zero correction. Just have to read one novel.
