Agree . Robbo has done enough to hold his spot and he has credits in the bank for rising to the occasion when we're under pressure. Obviously this could be his last year.

Dunno why anyone would think Noah's disposal would be any better on the wing than where he is. His key attribute at the moment is his defensive work and tenacity. Plus he'd run out of gas there with so long out of the game.

I'm really keen to get a look at Dev and Tommy but I just don't see us dropping anyone this week . Lohman is the obvious but we'll give him another game.

If Darce goes out I'm going for Payne. Purely because I want to see him again at Senior level and I know what Froggy brings.

Zorks is doing fine where he is at the moment. We need to find others to step up in the M/F.
Noah looked pretty good further up the ground in the pre-season so I'd like to see what he can do in the real games.
Also want to see Payne come in, has looked really solid in the reserve games and because of his size and speed he just wouldn't have to fight as hard as Gardiner needs to just to provide a contest.

Rayner was just starting to click at the end of the game last night. Kicked a goal and set one up in the last. I hated when he tried to bump in the third quarter. But dropping him now would make absolutely no sense.
Yeah I noticed he was a bit careless with some of his defensive efforts. Seems frustrated if he gets to the player slightly late. Might get suspended soon if it continues.
I’m a big fan, don’t worry about that though.
I can understand the frustration he’d be feeling. The calls to drop him are a bit shortsighted. Can’t have it all now. He will be so worth the wait 🤤

If Dizzy suspended then Payne in
I say MRobbo out for Sharp, T Berry or Dev.. Need more run. Mitch just seems a pace off and been loosing his feet a lot more of late.
Or Prior in and give Answerth a go on the Wing instead of M Robbo. Although Noah did a few silly things last night.
Something needs to change with our mid/wing combos. Not working well all year.
It is not going to be Neale, Clugga, Lyons, Ah Chee, Bailey and Berry. Hence Mitch sorry we loose his intensity.

Rayner did enough this week to stay.
Zorko foot skills of HB are great.. I just think like Birchall last year they play through his man.
When Hippy back do not want Daniher rucking. He has been our best forward. No idea if we keep Fort and play off bench.

Based on what I’ve seen of the reserves I think Tom Berry should really be next cab off the rank. I doubt it’ll be this week but I do think it’d be worth trying him in Mitch’s spot. In his last run of games at AFL level he didn’t get a heap of it but he’s fit, tough and a good tackler.

I think Gardiner will only get a fine (a week is possible but unlikely under the criteria) but I'd drop him anyway.

Gardiner > Payne. Lester is also possible but not my preference.

Less likely to happen but worth considering:
Robbo out for Prior (maybe Answerth to the wing). Sharp is a more natural wing swap but think Prior has shown more in the VFL. I'm not a fan of Terry or Madden.

Answerth is also on a bit of thin ice for me. Prior or Wilmot could do with a run

Rayner I was willing to say drop until the last quarter where he was influential. Still think he needs to lift for me. Doesnt get involved enough. For the moment I would keep him but could also bring Cockatoo back in. Lohman gets another week. His pressure was excellent

I had forgotten that moment, not sure how given how many 4 letter words came out of my mouth at the time.
Personally I think he needs to find some touch (and touches) in the 2's but if he plays next week I wont be too fussed.

Watching the replay and that moment just happened, looked like pure frustration to me. Hadn't found much of the ball and had his arms chopped in a marking contest 5 seconds before he tried to bump, looked like he was just trying to make an impact. Probably lucky he did miss tbh

I thought Rayner was nowhere near our biggest issue out there. That attempted bump was an error but it was a mistake-heavy game. He’s doing a few good contested things each game and little by little is finding a bit more uncontested ball on the wing.

Forward and midfield defensive pressure remains our biggest issue and I’m not sure if the fix to those issues is tactical or personnel.

What would be good to see:

Out: Gardiner (susp), M Robbo (omitted), Answerth (omitted)
In: Prior (Gardiner replacement), D Robbo (M Robbo replacement), K Coleman (Answerth replacement)

What will happen:

Out: Gardiner
In: Payne or Lester

Bit surprised at the talk of dropping Noah. I thought he's had a very solid start to the year, and would say to my eye he's even been more noticeably impressive as a defender than Starce so far.

I get trying to make room for Kiddy though, which is the dilemma. At the moment, I'd have Zorko forward, Lohmann out, and Kiddy in when that happens.

I don't think Nakia will be out for long either.

I agree that he has been good, but I think our disposal was generally poor last night and getting in coleman and prior would add a whole new dimension to disposing from the back half. It won't happen

Am I the only one who looks at the Dizzy incident and thinks it’ll be a $2000 fine?

It wasn't a head hit or a strike, it was rightly awarded a 50 a cost a goal. It should be a fine for rough conduct, under what rule is he getting rubbed out?

I am not a MRO biased Guy either, I try to be balanced in my judgement. I just don’t see why he gets weeks, are there any similar incidents that have gotten weeks for late hits after marks?

In terms of changes, Kai didn’t look ready to me (eye test) I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes up and gets a taste for his devalopment then gets omitted. I wouldn’t be againts him getting another game though.

Other than that, nothing jumps out. Answerth is one for me who looks a yard off it but doubt he will be dropped.

I do like the idea of an extra mid, that area is a massive concern.

I agree re Darcy, a fine but not a suspension.
But with the MRO who knows?
I didn’t think Mitch should have been suspended in round 1 either as there was no high contact.

Intentional rough contact, if was very late, he was frustrated because he couldn't get to the contest so took him out... I wouldn't be surprised with a fine or a week.

Whatever he gets it should be the same as Cox. I think Darcy actually did Daicos a favour by turning his body to hit him with his hip. Cox on the other hand saw Starce and drove the knee through.

Do people really see Fagan dropping Robbo?
I think it could happen, Robbo has spent a bit of time in the twos team the last couple pre-seasons and Robbo has been pretty honest about younger guys potentially taking his place, would've been told by the club it's a possibility I reckon.
