I'd think Wawson would be ahead of Whitters. He could play back/fwd/ruck.

I think that shows the improvement over the previous few years, that well performing youngsters in the VFL aren't just automatic inclusions. I remember raking over the under performing dross in our VFL in previous years, just hoping for something to plug into the many gaping holes in the ones (looking at you Young, Tucker, Biggie, Drury etc, etc, etc).

We still have holes, but we aren't any where near where we were.
