I dunno mate. I see him as having had a few serious injuries and came into the league at a lower fitness level than some of his peers.

I just trying to avoid compounding mistakes, if at all possible.

A) what will we get for him now v in 2 seasons time?

B) how sick would you feel if he came good at another club?

If you're satisfied with this, play on... I'm not. And I'm not one usually to bang on about young players until they've shown something but he's a bit different and it helps us to deal with different kids with different motivations. We're in such a hole that we ought to find out if he can play in the Big League ourselves, before cutting off our nose to spite our face.

I dunno, not sure there’s smoke he simply hasn’t performed at all . Of course you can say the same for many others but they have produced more on field seems pretty clear to me

His brother was exactly the same coming into AFL. Moments of brilliance with little defensive effort. Didn't translate from under age footy to AFL.

There is context in that Zane's had a lot of niggles and there are rumours he needs shoulder surgery again. Very low on body confidence. His game is also suited to half forward, which is the hardest position on the ground, particularly in a losing team. Have no doubt about his talent but probably a miss on getting a player we need at this stage. Who knows, could smash it next year, has another 12 months to show what he's got.

I would say this game would have got close to 50k at the MCG or 40k at Marvel with both clubs hopeful od a win to finish the season
