I have to question our game plan.

If it relies on nearly every best player playing and being at the top of their games,

Well then maybe its not that great at all / not sustainable.

I was all for getting Tim Kelly but thought we paid overs. Unless he lifts, its a bib big bust.

I don't want to be an Eeyore but 2020 is cooked.

Our ground ball which has been average anyway has just been decimated for various reasons. Cripps, Rioli, Venables, Jones, Petruccelle and a long term injury for Cameron in the preseason has just nailed us. List is quality but needs some rejigging. Too many general defenders or inbetweeners.

2-1-5 at metricon now I believe....

Can't play the chip game there, and our contested ball is currently too poor to play any other style

Saints don't have a dominant midfield on paper, although neither did Essendon

Hickey has to be an out. I would like a stat for hit outs to disadvantage. He showed a knack of hitting to a 2 on 3 contest.

Oscar was has not delivered since returning.

In NicNat and Williams
Out Hickey and Allen

In Hurn
Out Rotham

Out Hutch

As for the other changes - surely Brayshaw gets a game. If not, he might as well start packing his bags as poor XON looked cooked and Ainsworth was his usual.

Agreed. Bit harsh on Hickey though, I thought he was serviceable for a backup ruckman.
Are you serious? He had an okay first quarter and then was pretty useless after that. He stands at the back of packs flat footed. He should have been running hard at the end of the match not getting outmarked by English.
