Pretty irrelevant thread to be honest, calling out players to be dropped and replaced by others who either are not fit, still injured or don't add any further value than those currently playing.

As someone else mentioned, cupboard is pretty bare for quality AFL players who will improve out list in the short term.

I'm going away this week where there is no Foxtel, and I wont be doing much more than sitting by a fire and drinking copious amounts of red wine.

From this thread, can I take it that most do actually agree with Brad? We’re in need of a rebuild.

Cunners out.
X out - good endeavor but not enough impact.
Higgins out injured.
Jmac out. Ineffectual.
Hall out. Shot.

Scott for Hall. Bonar for Cunners.
Jmac dodges a bullet given injuries.

WW in also.

Never again Wood.

The team have so many reasons to turn in a similar performance to the one against PA in R22:-

(1) We’ve lost three in a row.
(2) Last night we were embarrassed.
(3) Essendon embarrassed us on GF.
(4) Essendon trolled us in the second game.

I fully expect a big response to make it 3-3. Then we can re-evaluate. This is a very strange season.

Ben Cunnington and Shaun Higgins in doubt for clash with Essendon
North Melbourne has been dealt a double blow to two of their biggest stars following their disappointing loss. And to make matters worse, their captain could join them on the sidelines for another week.

North Melbourne is bracing to be without midfield stars Ben Cunnington and Shaun Higgins for Saturday night’s clash against Essendon at Metricon Stadium.
And captain Jack Ziebell’s availability also remains uncertain as he faces a fitness test on his injured hamstring this week after the Kangaroos enter their Queensland hub.

The Kangaroos’ heavy 49-point loss to the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night came at a cost with Cunnington finishing the match on the bench after aggravating a back complaint when he copped a first-quarter knock.

It’s understood the injury to Cunnington was causing referred nerve pain down his right leg and the club is unlikely to take any chances with the tough midfielder after he missed the previous two matches with a persistent back complaint.

Higgins was also forced from the field in the final quarter for treatment on his knee. He will be assessed during the week, but is in doubt.

Forward Tarryn Thomas was also a second-quarter concussion victim and will be assessed during the week, but is expected to be able to resume training.

The Kangaroos said the injured players would all join the team when it shares a flight out of Melbourne to Queensland with Essendon on Monday.

Cunnington had been under a cloud heading into the Bulldogs’ clash and North coach Rhyce Shaw admitted after the match he might have made the wrong call playing him.

Neither of them should be playing next week. Cunners is in no state to play, and Higgins just looked disinterested. Might've been partly cos of the niggle, but his efforts last night weren't good enough. Get Bonar, Walker, Scott and whoever the **** else in. Just play the kids.

Not the worst thing at this point in time, the club is then forced to be creative and we also become less predictable while finding out a bit about our future potential.

Agree. Bring in Scott, Bonar, Walker and Ahern.

If this really happens - name the midfield that we go with.

Simpkin
Anderson
Dumont
?

From:

Hall
Ahern
Bonar
Polec
Thomas

Will be a new look.....
Bailey Scott in to take a wing is a no brainer. Will need some run and distribution. JMac probably stays in given shortage of cattle / plugging gaps.

Do not play an underdone Ziebell.

I’d rather he take a month off a get 100% fit before playing again.

Ditto Cunnington.

Ditto Higgins.

The pain that may come our way is far outweighed by the double benefit of younger players getting a god go at running the middle and the prospect of our senior players being fully fit upon their return.

100% this.
99/100 times an AFL coach has the chance to be brutal at selection they don't end up dropping the leaders / veterans Etc. that emotional & furious fans call for after big losses.
When they're all injured however...🤷‍♂️
