Coleman looked great, really put his head over the ball. Seems like he is starting to adjust. Gotta keep getting games into him
I think that was an easy game to look great in but he has what we've been lacking in defence which is someone who can run onto the ball and collect it and keep running a bit to get the overlap going. I agree with Jackess the next step is to look for penetrative kicks forward or into the corridor rather than looking for a handball ,mostly sideways or backwards.

If it was the start of the year obviously you'd persist , at this stage it's going to be hard for Fages to offload one of his love children.

Interested to see what we do , I'm not against rolling the dice with Coleman.

In my opinion replacing Kiddy with Adams would be horrible for the balance of the backline, would leave us with Andrews, Adams, Gardiner, Lester and Birchall in the same backline with only Starc and Rich that can somewhat run, I get Adams is quick for his size but the agility isn't there. From what I saw last night our backline has a lot of battlers, guys that are very limited and get found out. I think we need to add some more genuine talent to the backline and Kiddy is a good start, hopefully we add some more at the end of the year as well.

Yeah our backline has to be Andrews, Gardiner, Adams/Payne, Starcevich, Rich, Birchall and someone with pace like Kiddy, Madden or Ah Chee. Ah Chee being the safest choice but useful up the ground.

Hopefully we can replace Birchall with a good ball user and someone who can defend or a lockdown defender who can free up Starce to provide some run at some point but that might not be this year unfortunately. Maybe Lester could be an option if we play a small, slow forward line.

Unfortunately not many small, slow forward lines to come up against during the pointy end of the season.

Really hope that if Adams is back it’s for Lester not Coleman. Coleman looks like he is starting to adjust to the pace.

Highly doubt Lester will be dropped. Lester did at least two 1%ers in front of us. He's not flashy, but does what's asked if him.

Adams is clearly part of our best 22 structure. Someone will be unlucky, and I think it will be Lester.

The ugly side of having depth is good players missing out… just ask the Scott Brothers.

I want to like but would imply that I like to hear of injury to players. We need to be extremely careful about the karma bus parking outside the Gabba for the next month.

no prediction threads……….
Gadz what have you done!😳😜

I know!!! And those bloody moderators won't undo my stupendous mistake. 😭😭😭😭

Dear Lions players,
I'm so sorry.
Regards,
Gadzorks

I can't even bring myself to write an apology to Fagan - I'm like the players on field who have screwed up and don't want to come to the bench to face him.

Ah Chee was great on the weekend. For those there, was he playing in the Mitch Robbo role? I thought it was his best game for the club, however not sure it was as good as what Mitch has given us if they played the similar position.

He did and did so very well - his best work on the wing. Took intercept marks in defence and had two shots at goal. Was everywhere.

Though anyone eating and drinking last Saturday wasn't wearing their mask, and there were quite a few drinking around us.
I never eat at the footy but the last 2 times have required masks while seated, I sat on a drink for a quarter and took a couple of packets of lollies to munch on the rest of the time so didn't wear the mask at all, glasses fog up something chronic with a mask on.

Means West Coast will have something to play for still with the results for 8th not decided until Sunday.
Makes sense from a league perspective.
I would not worry about the Eagles, they had plenty to play for yesterday. They have fallen off a cliff and just hate travelling. Good to still have 8th spot up for grabs though. Probably one change to the Lions team that beat 16th place Collingwood.
