What a fantastic problem to have, who goes out for McCluggage, Hipwood and Hodge?

Ins- Hugh McCluggage, Eric Hipwood, Luke Hodge.

Outs- Ben Keays, Josh Walker, Seriously I can't see the 3rd obvious out. Rayner/Christensen/Witherden/McStay????

Do we give one of the 3 another week off just to be sure?

Match ups-

Harris > Brown.
Berry or Robbo > Zeibell or Cunnington.
Gardiner > Zurhaar.
Lester > Larkey.

If we match their physicality and intensity we should win, we showed we can cope with it today v Port but IMO North will do it for longer.

Wouldn’t be shocked if Hugh misses again. Generally hamstrings, whichever way a club wants to spin it, will be at least a couple of games.

Hipwood, I agree one week is probably not enough with the knee so I doubt he’ll be back.

Hodge should be right you’d think, so him for either Lester or Adams you’d imagine.

Hopefully everyone else is right to go, bearing in mind we’ve had two away games including a wet slog today and only a 6 day break into next week.

So cruel to make any changes both Keays and Walker played their roles, Hugh has to come in so sorry Keays. Hippy can wait let’s be 100% on him so rest him. Hodge the same, rest if we can now. I’ll go with one change only. I was there, best game for so long, worth the flight down the boys were magnificent

If fit

Clug for Keays (Bundy an outside chance)
Hipwood for Walker
Hodge for Adams

Wasn't Bundy's best game statistically but I thought he did a lot of good things inside 50 and offered consistent pressure. I'd keep him in ahead of Keays.

Clug for Keays (Bundy an outside chance)
Hipwood for Walker
Hodge for Adams

All these but feel for Walker and Keays. I guess that's the plight of depth in a strong team though. Sometimes you just gotta make way.

It's kind of selfish in a way but I really hope we're still able to hang on to all of Keays, Walker, Robertson and Taylor, though understandably most might go somewhere to where they've got an offer for regular AFL footy. Thinking Cutler already gone at this point.

100% Agree.

I think that Keays was good tonight and he has signaled that he is worth keeping on our list at this stage as a depth player, but he goes out for McCluggage every time.

Hodge was only being managed so he’s an automatic in, probably for Adams for mine.

McCluggage and Hipwood should have another week, better err on the side of caution with such injuries.

Bailey omitted for Corey Lyons. Thought Zac was really selfish and undisciplined on occasions and should be given a spell as a result.

Keays actually did a couple of things tonight that he hasn't been able to do at Senior level before . Looked quite composed mostly.

When you've got great players playing well it lifts the others .Lester has looked a lot more comfortable down back playing his role aggressively alongside Rich ,Andrews and Gardiner who are all great players.

Adams has looked badly in need of the hitouts and we're yet to see what his role could be. Cam I guess you keep for the X factor but I'd like to see him a lot more focused without ball in hand.

No point guessing on who comes in ,all depends on the medical staff. Hippy and Clug automatic inclusions if fit.

Maybe give Hodgey a decent rest ,I'm tipping he had a broken rib(s ) and wasn't rested. I guess he'd never have thought that before the Hawks retired him he'd go on to play in a final with the Lions of all clubs.

Going to be interesting to see how our forward line goes against North. Marley Williams did a great job on Charlie until he got injured last time

Would be great for McStay or Rayner to kick a few but especially if Hipwood is out we might need to rely on our mids to kick a few. Maybe if Clug is back Zorko could spend more time forward.

Also, a win would make it 5 in a row. When was the last time we did that? 15 years ago?

2007 - round 14-18. Eagles, Demons, Carlton, Pies, Kangaroos

kangaroos was the last game in that list of wins too. Although i'm hoping that we don't repeat that finish, we didn't win another game that year lost the rest bar 1 draw with sydney

That was one hell of a draw though. I was with my brother in law who supports Sydney. Was as good as a win!

Outs. Keays.
Ins. Hugh.

Give hodge and hipwood another week off.

Given Keays was so unlucky to be dropped the first time against Hawthorn surely they will give him one more week. Christensen/Bailey could quite easily make way if they have to (and who's not to say they dont come straight back in for Keays the week after). Would be pretty gutting for the guy to be unluckily dropped both occasions

Can see that too.
