Felt more comfortable with Buss coming in alongside Jones and Lobb. Bit more pressure on him now fingers crossed he plays a ripper

Jones & Lobb are closing in on their mid 30’s. we desperately need to start getting games into Buss as he has been groomed as our future FB.

Wouldn't shock me if we rested Jones as opposed to omitting him. He hasn't been in great form, had a really interrupted pre-season and may be better if he was allowed to freshen up a bit.

I think it should be those 3. Bevo gave JOD his first game as forward likely to ease him into AFL. The step up to AFL is a bit full on and a KPD debuting can be taken advantage of. Look at what happen to Lewis Young in his 2nd or 3rd game against GWS.

The resting vs Omitting is usually to save a bit of face or embarrassment for a senior player. We have done it in the past which you know it's the case when the player then comes back through VFL the following week. It's gotten out there now though that he has been dropped for this week so that's sort of decided now, we may show as managed on the teams, but this is a "you haven't had a great few weeks, we are going to have a look at your replacement now".
I'll back Jones to make his way back though, he still has a bit to give I think.

Don't think this is the right week for a Jones dropping. Form hasn't been at his best but when we've got no idea how to replace Darcy and might need Lobb in multiple positions, Id rather the experience in Jones back there.
He did train which is why I thought he'd be playing. Hopefully it's a case of him being managed, although down on form I think he still offers alot more then others.
Probably also points to the MC thinking that Buss/Lobb/Jones is too tall.
