L Jones (34) and T Duryea (happy 34th birthday Doc) as emergencies. Definitely a changing of the guard! Lobb, JJ and Libba the only over 30s.

The sub will be an interesting call. No way it will be Davidson (the Doc Apparent) and unlikely to be Harmes because we'd assume he's now fully fit. Besides we'll need the hardness and the experience he brings. They seldom make one player sub two weeks in a row so probably not Hynes (but he did have 61% ToG last week which is close to a normal game). So it will probably be between Cleary and Dolan. Dolan has been sub every second game for the last month and could very well be sub again. However Cleary seems the more flexible because he could come on for a small or (with some shuffling of Khamis etc) for a tall.

Hynes would be my pick, but failing that, Cleary.

This is why Bevo is a great coach and we’re threatening year after year for 10 years now. Not afraid to make the tough calls. Macrae, Daniel now Jones. He knows when players are ready to get in but also knows when it’s time to move on. Jones timing has been off all year. Maybe it’s a temporary form thing, maybe age is finally catching up but let’s pull the pin and change it up and find out.

and Duryea

Haven't been to Manuka. Thinking of driving up.

Surprised at their seat costs... $40 for general admission? Having a lend.
Pack warm clothes.

I went a few years ago and it was bloody freezing.

Jones has been out of form but we don't exactly have tall defenders who can match the best forwards for speed on a lead. He was the only one...
Yeah, could not disagree more, that bloke Lobb is not exactly slow and has been our best KPD since going back for some time now

It's great that we have the balls to do it

He has been shocking the last 3 weeks

Hopefully he can reset and get his judgement back
why are people doubting the Jones decision and making excuses.
Jones needs to spoil and intercept very well to make up for his deficiencies (kicking, decision making). he is not doing either currently.
he is a liability, headless chook at the moment. constantly letting the ball and his man out the back. not marking well
why would you play an older guy in that kind of form over young ones. great call Bevo.

go Buss! one of the most long awaited debuts i can remember

Haven't decided what to do still. There's a fair chance it is wet and there isn't really any cover available
Latest BoM forecast:

That's a whole lot better than a couple of days ago when they said it could be as much as 9mm.
There will probably be cloud cover which will stop it from being too cold. Like right now in Canberra it's about 13.5 degrees, not much less than it was in Melbourne at the same time last night (15.1).
But do bring warm clothes just in case ;)

I'm going and I'll be in the open (Hill stand). I'll take a raincoat and probably put some thermals on.

Just when you think Bevo has stopped making weird risky calls - he does it again.

You’ve got Lobb, Khamis and a debutant - minimal defensive nous there against Hogan, Stringer and Greene.

Remember the Port game last year - Jones went out at the last minute. Defence was a shambles.

Lobb likely to be needed elsewhere as well. Buss needs to be bought in with someone to help him - not get thrown to the wolves.
