That is some crazy philosophy in your opening. Appreciate you taking the time though. Not sure what to say, honestly... good luck, perhaps?

What do think about Fyfey though? Play, or nay?
I think if he trains hard for next week and a half and is fit play him

As a sub

The problem with Fyfe is that he could just as easily be the x-factor that wins us the game, or look old and slow as the opposition runs away with it. I trust that if Fyfe is in the middle Jlo has a strategy in place for what happens if Fyfe doesn't win the ball.

I think they mitigate this because Fyfe comes on in the 4th quarter when their inside mids are tired. It does go against the traditional sub role as being used to get some 'fresh' legs into the game.

We are injecting some grunt into the middle, instead of some run on the outside. It seems to be working ok, as our mids are pretty flexible and can play other positions in the backline, forwardline or wing.

Yeah I realize that. It's obvious. Just it's opposite to the general consensus of injecting some pace with the sub.

A problem with playing Fyfe apart from match fitness if he is called upon to come into the game early on, can we have any confidence that he is likely to stay injury free until the final siren.

Although it's not just about staying injury free but having the impact across three quarters instead of one. If his TOG is limited and he isn't able to have impact defensively, it means others need to cover that will have collateral impact for their ability to play their role optimally

how would you know. The guy has played with a broken leg before.

There's way too much being read into Fyfe's game. We were not chasing the game, we were defending a lead, so they didn't really need Fyfe. He was barely used. He also used his size to block for team mates to come through.

The champ is far from done. The final chapters remain to be written. He will play so this pages of discussion is pointless.

I think we got our nerves/stagefright out of the way in the Brissy game.

We basically just had 2 finals intensity games into a nice freshen up.

We are ready with a packed out crowd against a team who has never played a final or played in a venue that will be as hostile as saturday week and struggled on the road most of the year.

While it wont be easy this will be our arvo to shine and make a statement.

I think they pretty much had their best side when we played them last. We didn’t have Young or Pearce.
They hadn't figured their forward line out then

Were still playing the 3 talls with Walter not ready, has looked much better with Farrar in that spot

I'll check the rest of their side and see though

edit: Only other big difference is Weller

Davies is also handy for them

(They will decide whether Moyle or Read suits better, reckon they choose Read this time)

It's definitely a better team for them but luckily we have a better side too

Looking at these nepo babies, they are already satisfied.
They won't know what hits them next weekend
Was just thinking they are so happy to make finals for the first time...fair enough too. When this happened for us, we went on to lose a home final to Essendon by 10 goals - we were too happy making finals. Very much consider we should be in the box seat to beat GC next Saturday.

Only difference is they have a 3-time premiership coach and we had Chris Connolly.

Still expecting us to put the sword to 'em.
