1. Warner
2. Cowan
3. Hughes
4. Watson
5. Clarke (Khawaja if Clarke not fit)
6. Smith
7. Wade

9. Pattinson
10. Siddle

OUT: Starc (inj), Haddin, Henriques, Doherty
IN: Johnson, Pattinson, Watson, Wade

Let's give them credit for getting out of bed in the morning and breathing as well.

We lost, again, in four days.
So much this. If they were trying their best and still got smashed again in a reduced length test then that is nothing to be proud of. This is not the under 12s where you get a participation award.

Out: Starc, Clarke, Henriques and Doherty.
In: Patto, Wade, Maxwell and Johnson

Henriques isn't taking wickets, Maxwell can take them especially with no pressure as 5th option.
Now that Siddle's in form and considering Johnson plays well in india, our fast bowling stocks will be far better than in any previous tests imo.
Wade is a better bat than Khawaja/ our batting shouldn't be so brittle with Haddin and Wade in the middle order.

Watson doesn't deserve his spot. Don't get me wrong he'll probably get given a place in the test but his batting has been crap and he can't bowl. I'd rather Haddin in the team and i should confirm, if i heard myself say that a year ago i'd slap the crap out of myself.

1. Warner
2. Cowan
3. Hughes
4. Clarke (Khawaja if Clarke not fit)
5. Smith
6. Haddin (or Wade if recovered)
7. Johnson
8. Starc
9. Pattinson
10. Siddle
11. Lyon

12. Watson (to carry the drinks to demonstrate he is a good team man - all the time)

Better off playing extra quicks as they look the most likely to take a wicket & most of them more than handy with the bat. Lyon, Smith & Warner are plenty of options - can't see what playing Doherty or Maxwell would add.

Not fussed about the keepers, but picking Watson sends the wrong message. He should earn his way back into the team, based on form/attitude.

Wish i could like this comment more. Cannot stand the bullshit spin and this attitude where we raise optimism to a cult like status.

Part of me wishes that we get belted in the next Test and in the Ashes so that our problems are exposed for all to see, even the fanbois
What are the problems as you see them and what are your solutions to them?

They should send Harris and Hopes over as backup.

Preferably before Friday. :D
Buggar about Starc - he is one of our best batsman!

Fly over O'Keefe & play Johnson, Pattinson, Siddle & Lyon

Flying over O'Keefe would have only been beneficial if we had been playing NSW in the final. ;)

And don't forget Burns, would be handy to make some runs and is some good form... maybe taking Cowans spot :p
I hear ya. Burns is in as well.

So ins for the fourth test so far:
Gannon, McDermott, Hartley, Burns, Hopes and Harris.

Might as well send Boof over while they're at it.

Here's a good start:

Also add a brittle batting line up, a divided team, an inability to name our best xi due to injuries, an incoherent administration etc

As far solutions, other than the passage of time you've stumped me for the time being....
That article is a crock of shit.

If Clarke had gone in, obviously injured, and either got out or aggravated the injury he would have copped it as well.

He can't win. People just take shots at the bloke for the sake of it, regardless of what he does.

In this instance, he did the right thing. Rested it overnight and showed a bit of faith in his other batsmen in the process. Which, might I point out, worked in the case of Hughes.
