The thing with Rahilly is he's gradually been overtaken by more skillful, quicker, and arguably versatile players.

To be fair, back in his debut season he was mixing it with older blokes. As with most debutant players, he was a breath of fresh air (if you can really believe that) being a youngster in a team gradually growing past their prime. I for one welcomed his hardness and youthful presence in the team, as it was something the team at the time looked to be missing.

However, just as this game has evolved, so too has the need for quicker, more skillful, versatile players. Herein lay the problem for Rahilly, who was never really lightning quick or brilliantly skillful with his disposal. Toughness and hardness around the ball won't cover up poor disposal anymore, nor any other major flaws for that matter. You really do need to have some speed and some decent disposal these days; being purely hard at the ball will rarely cut it at this level.

It's a shame really. Too often we see players with unlimited potential never realise it due to a poor attitude, pure lazyness, or until it's too late. It's a given that Rahilly is fairly limited in what he can offer, but he gave all he could with what he could, and it still hasn't proven enough. Was a fair servant with what he could offer.

Whats a KPP?
Also, DJ is not a dud, far from it.
key position player.

whilst I wouldn't call dj a dud I wouldn't consider him as a player in our best 22 (even excluding wocjinski and sj from that 22). he has improved and grown on me a little as a player, however I just don't think he possesses enough tricks to hurt the opposition. his skills let him down enormously at times, and the fact that he has missed goals this year that good running players should kick casts further doubts on his game ie. goals that should have been kicked vs. st kilda and freo. callan is the better alternative imo, think he has much more to offer. I apologise to the dj fans - I know there are plenty of them on here - just my opinion I guess.

With Hunt in and Callan injured...Sando better come in for DJ.

Revised:

In:
Sando
Corey
Playfair

Out:
DJ
Tenace
Lonergan

Possibility: Gardiner (out) Haynes (In)

Wouldn't want to see many more changes than that.
