Hutchings just doesn't have the leg speed to play that role unfortunately. Our lack of small forwards that can go through the middle is concerning.

Look at the Bulldogs for example. They have Daniel, Hrovat, Hunter, Honeychurch and Dahlhaus as options. WC have Cripps and Lecras then Hill, Karpany, Mcginnity and Newman.

Karpany is looking like a bust, Mcginnity is Mcginnity and Newman is returning from a year in jail. I would think that position would be strengthened in the offseason.
This is exactly how i see it. Small forwards are a weakness of ours.
Getting one of Bennell, Yarran or Jetta is crucial as they can all kick goals and play through the midfield.
Motlop or Dangerfield would be nice but probally not a reality.

I mentioned it weeks ago, not being serious really, but just a thought. If Gov was to injure himself again, on the eve of the finals, or during, could Eazy come back?? He did his knee in Nab1, so by the time say PF or GF comes around, that's basically the full recovery time. I know he'd lack match fitness, but he'd still be able to compete 1 on 1, and the zone could just roll around him:D

Pretty sure the club ruled out McKenzie returning this year a couple of weeks ago. Said they thought about it, but won't do it as too much of a risk.

Ross Lyon says their is some doubt over Matt Pavlich and David Mundy who both had scans yesterday. @9NewsPerth

Sounds like there is a chance these 2 will miss with the way Lyon was saying he wants to keep Pearce up front.

Dockers to rest a couple and have a heavy week on the track in preparation for finals. They're 10 points clear of us and can afford to drop the game. I envisage it being a bit like the 2006 second derby where we were pretty set at the top of the table and got toweled, only in reverse.

I could be wrong though :D

I remember there being the same sort of talk, around this time of the season, in 2012 with Lecras, having done his knee in pre season, but in the end, the same decision was made. Probably the correct one, but dam I'd love to see Emac come back and towel up Pav on GF day:D

Nah they'll play, ol' darty eyes just playing games. All bar McPharlin will play, Johnson & Fyfe back in.

Reckon they'd be mad to play Johnson

Run him back through the magoos on limited game time after such a lengthy spell out.

Shep said recently that he credits his form with a lot of guidance by Emac this season. They sit down together each week and Emac goes over his tape, coaches him etc.

We will keep him on ice until 2016 but Emac is going to be in beast mode next year! Having sat on the sidelines and watched his mates generate this level of success, he will be itching to get back out and stamp his authority on the defensive setups again. Cant wait!!

I don't like bringing in Hill yet, considering the fact that both Nelson and Bennell played good games on the weekend, give them a go.

I wouldn't mind them possibly swinging Wellingham into LeCras' role, he is somewhat similar with class, speed, overhead marking and x factor goal sense. This will mean Bennell and Nelson can come in.

INS: Bennell, Nelson, Sinclair and Barrass
OUTS: LeCras, Selwood, McGinnity and McGovern

Hutch to sub

NicNat not playing this week either, Going to be very hard to get up this week

We're no chance, lets all just hope Nic is ready to play next week, as we need to beat the Dogs to stay in the top 4.

Honestly, I though he might play this week, I know that might seem insensitive, but I thought he may want to get back around his mates and do his family proud, not that he's not doing them proud by not playing, if that makes sense. I know it's an incredibly tough time for him, but I hope, from a supporters POV, his reason for not playing the derby is more logistical/timing, than him not feeling up to it, because I can't see how mentally, that would change from this week to next.
