Sad as it is i doubt nicnat will be back for the derby sunday his mothers funeral is on friday put on his brothers facebook.

It's plenty of time before the game, so it really will depend on how he's coping. He may be named in the team Thursday and then a decision made Sunday morning.

If Nic wants to play, and its a big if, he would have to spend all day Saturday in the air flying Fiji-Sydney-Perth. He could leave Fiji at 7 am and get to Perth at 4PM. There is a 4 hour time difference, so travel time is 13 hours. Its a demanding schedule and I doubt the club would contemplate him doing it.

Agreed and we have to remember that he is also emotionally drained as well so he may not be in the correct head space. We need to give him time to grieve and get ready. In terms of McGovern I don't care if its cramp or a small hammy give him another two weeks we don't want it tearing and them him being out for the finals cannot risk that.

Ins and Outs

In: Sinclair, Hill, Barras, Nelson
Out Selwood (Playing shocking), Spud Ginners, Lecras, the Gov

To the Dockers' advantage, they would like the Eagles to stay at #2 while they are on top. They do not want to meet us in any finals before the Grand Final. How? I am not sure!!

But they are the anytime anywhere team.

Looking at their recent record against us i reckon they would be frothing at playing us in finals

I wouldn't mind finishing 4th and playing them. Less travel and I think regardless of what happens this week we can hope to get a better team in for first week of finals which can do the job. If we win this week though I can't see that happening.

Still, I don't have that sinking feeling we just aren't good enough this week, like I have for a lot of recent derbies. Despite the personnel issues we can do this.

Yep finishing 4th is better than 3rd as we would play at home first up and if we win that we get home prelim or we lose then get a home game the following week but would have an away prelim if we got that far.

I would love to play Freo in a final first week with Nic Nat, The Gov, Lecras and beat the daylights out of them

However if we beat the Dogs and the Saints that's two wins we will finish 4th. ANyway we need to finish top 4 and then lets take it after that
If we beat the dogs and saints I imagine we'd finish 3rd

We can finish top 4 after winning 2 out of our 4 upcoming games if and only if either Swans and/or Bulldogs lose at least one. If both of these teams win 4/4, the highest we can finish (with only 2 further wins) is 5th. Yes I did spend all afternoon flicking through the ladder predictor thank you

Nevermind cos we'll win all four of our games

We play the dogs though, so assuming 1 of our wins is against them, which it likely will be, then they can't knock us out.

Worst case we can actually finish 8th if we win 1 and a few upsets to other teams in the 8.
