On another note, wow what a gun Selwood is. I've only been saying it for 3 years. He's played 12 games and averaged 14 touches, what an A grader. His 2015 has been nothing short of disastrous and i'm annoyed we've wasted time persevering with a player who's had 1 foot out the door all year.

Duggan really couldn't be injured at a worse time. The midfield is completely bare and had he not got hurt, could have cemented a spot and played out pretty much a whole season Ugh.

he is not bluffing. lyon just takes sly jabs at the media because they never listen to his previous statements. HE said they wait on players to see if they train on their last training session which is still to come. Pavlich and Mcpharlin dont always train the first training session in the week. Mundy will probably play because he trained on the first session this week. Lyon also says that players get scans all the time to monitor progress and was just taking the mickey out of journalists always sensationlising scans. having watched all his late week press conferences this year he is a straight shooter but asking for definitive statements on players early in the week without definite answers is just journalist bullshit. Ross always will rule someone out if he knows their medical situation is certain, eg . fyfe last week.

Perhaps my comment could be taken as less of an indictment on Kane, but moreso upon the state of our midfield depth. We are down to guys who do "ok at WAFL level".

He's racking up possessions every week for East Perth. Another 31 possessions (22 kicks) last week. I don't watch the games but on stats alone he would have to be in the top 2 or 3 midfielders for the Royals this year.

He's a better linkup than McGinnity, and covers more ground. These are all attributes that suit our 'web'. I Just feel he might grow into an hard-running outside role if we lost a Rosa or Masten.

But yeah you're right, McGinnity pips him on our need for physical presence at the stoppages minus Nic, McGovern and Sinkers.

yes people give Hutchings a tough time but ate last against the Hawks he gave it everything and had a good game and he has upside Selwood is out of the team in my view
