I'd consider grey in for c Pearce. Has more pace against a cripps type.
Silvagni for sutcliffe perhaps to take darling, leaving Jhonno on mclovin and Dawson for JK, Ibbo to float around and look pretty.

I can live with tonight's loss - it was an improvement on last week and we are heading in the right direction.

Me - Barlow? Mayne? Sutcliffe? That's bs, complete garbage, you have your favorites and you play them. Barlow is aliability and has been poor for over a year now. Mayne has been shite for years. The fact Ballas played his second good game in over a season without getting dropped shows how soft our team selections are. Sutcliffe is average, nothing more that's for sure.

With A Pearce playing everywhere today, what are people's thoughts on his best position ?
I'm still undecided on him fwd, providing chop out to Sandi - gives us versatility though. Problem is with Pav and Mayne so weak atm it also robs the structure when he drifts into the middle.

If we had the luxury of developing forwards I'd love to see him continue as defender but I think for the team, Pearce forward predominately with Silvagni/Collins coming through in defense could be the stronger option, at leas if its about being competitive this year.

I disagree with those bringing in Silvagni. He's not performing much better than Collins in the WAFL if at all and is turning 29 this year. Not to mention his disposal is rubbish and we favoured playing one tall defender to him last week. West Coast would be a tough start for Collins. I'd prefer to play A.Pearce as a defender with Collins playing games when Johnson, Dawson or A.Pearce aren't available. I want to see Taberner tried as our second ruck until Apeness has a few WAFL games behind him.

So? Dawson got destroyed, MJ is a better third defender, Pearce maybe required forward and WCE have three talls forward. Couldn't care less if Collins first game is a tough one, if hes ready and we want him to play, play him, we're gonna get thrashed regardless.

I think we need to go taller & tougher in the backline for Eagles. And like play better. Maybe grow some hearts to.

Pearce D should never be allowed to take a set shot. If he's not hard up against the boundary with 5 players jumping on him, he can't kick straight

Alex is a defender first, swingman second in my opinion. If Tabs was clunking them, he's a preferable foward option.

Alex is in better form than Tabs right now, hence his inclusion.... but I still tink that tabs should be allowed to piay his way into form, if we over-rely on Pav too early, we will pay for it later in the season.

Can't remember the last time someone came up from the magoos or debuted and really looked good ... sure Fyfe did, Barlow (but he was mature-age), Timmy Ruffles? Having said that Ed wasn't too bad tonight.

Won't be too many changes that'll help us, performance across the entire team save for freaks like Fyfe are well down. Grey and Crozier in would make me happier than Mzungu/MDB though.
