MDB's certainly not the slowest in our side. He ran a 2.92 in the sprint way back in the 2008 draft combine (same as Shuey). I don't think either are speedsters but they aren't slow. I wasn't certain of the selection as I think we are adding an inside player in place of an outside but on match ups I kind of get it. Barlow and De Boer will probably match up ok defensively on Priddis and Shuey. Suban rotating in on Gaff (if they play him inside). And then Mundy/Fyfe to counter Redden/Yeo. Still think we need Hill closer to the ball and Sutcliffe back in defence but maybe that will happen on game day. Midfield battle is going to be an interesting one - think it's a game we could re-establish ourselves as a finals chance if we can get on top with the clearances. If we don't they'll probably hammer us.

What a load of rubbish re Collins. Marcus Adams was more a forward for west Perth, playing in defence and played well... How can you say Collins would be dominated?? From the two games you've seen for peel? For the games at box hill you watched? Sometimes when given a chance, people rise.

I agree on the other points though :)

You're right, I don't really know how Collins would go. He may hold his own even, but my guess would be the lack of AFL experience and fitness against a very organised and I'd say elite fwd set up that the Eagles have would be a pretty tough ask especially if our up the ground & stoppage play is as swiss-cheese like as it has been the first two rounds. More the point, even if he did well, and he may very well do that, he'd not change our overall fortunes dramatically - that is really the point I'm making.

West Coast are a vastly better side than early last year and we have gone backwards. Ballantine kicked his four goals in a team that lost to the Suns at home. The Suns FFS.

You obviously haven't seen WC'S games this season. From the NAB all the way through they have been crap. Freagles aren't welcome on here by the way.

Very underwhelming selection night.

One change from a team where so many have played so poorly for two weeks in a row - and that change was forced by injury anyway.

I'm sure DeBoer will help out with that skill level issue we've been having though. :drunk:

As opposed to the legion of highly skilled reserves we have running around at Peel? o_O

There can't be too many worse than Deboer.

We know what we're going to get with him, I don't see the point in always going back to the same bunch of guys who haven't been able to get the job done when we most need it. Particularly if we're trying to transition to a new style that will negate their strengths and expose their weaknesses.

 two new toy last week , this week a rest , maybe next week another new toy In Tucker maybe . too many new toy at once is no good for you , you only got 1 pair of hand and 1 pair of leg ,eye and ear.

In: De Boer Out: Clancee...... meh. Replacing one soldier with another but it sets a good example rewarding good Peel performances. Langdon was the first to benefit, played a good game for Peel and got rewarded, De Boer played a good game and has been rewarded so I think that's fair.
Played a good game in round two but didn't play at all in round 3.

In all fairness, those guys have generally been able to get the job done against West Coast.

The season isn't gone yet, let's not start tanking until it is.

Shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

Matt will run though someone Saturday.

It will be like a beautiful brick wall smashes into a tattooed beard thing.

Boom. Sploosh.
Masten is like a daddy long legs, tiny fangs with very little penetration. I can't see him hurting Matty DeBoer.
