Check that pass to Pav out.

We have so few who can do that he needs to be persisted with
I have defended Sheridan many times because he gets some unfair criticism, but FMD some of his panic work today was terrible. He made about 3 errors in a row in one passage which resulted in a goal. He is not the worst and needs to be persisted with, but Duffield was dropped back to the WAFL several times as punishment for acts much less than Sheridan has done.

Those calling for Crozier are not watching him at the moment - he has completely lost his confidence and would be a liability. From what I saw both Tucker and Brady Grey would be better ins than him. At least they impact the play - Tucker with skills and Brady with hardness and attack on the ball.

I really, really want Croz to come good but he has done nothing to earn a recall. Tucker is having more impact around the ground and on the scorecard than Croz and he's only played three games. Brady will give us something we just don't seem to have at the moment and that is balls and all kamikaze attack on the ball - kind of like Ballas circa 2013.

As much as I try to fits croz in , I am afraid I am a bit naived after watching him play today. Grey and deboer needed in mid to stop opposition momentum with hardbody knock. Hills move in also with his fast play and disposal. Tucker can replace hills position.

With A Pearce playing everywhere today, what are people's thoughts on his best position ?
I'm still undecided on him fwd, providing chop out to Sandi - gives us versatility though. Problem is with Pav and Mayne so weak atm it also robs the structure when he drifts into the middle.

He played (slightly) better fwd than back tonight from what I could see. Let the ball go through his hand 2-3 times at both ends though. Very unlike him. Then again, the whole team is very unlike what we've been. Not sure we can go on much for this game. Thought he did OK as an undersized ruck though. Think we need tall fwd/ruck option more than anything else, so plays there for mine.

I guarantee you would love him a lot more if we didn't handball the ball 2 metres behind him everytime he has a break away from a contest and is streaming down the ground, how F#$king hard is it to put it infront of him.

Yeah, Sutty was OK until he got injured, then struggled a touch. There's no way he gets dropped (unless injured).

Haha what the ****? If the campaigner struggles time after time isnt that telling you something?

He has been given a chance, actually quite a few!
So don't bother with him and completely give up? Put all our hope into McCarthy and even if he does come, let him play as our only forward? Tabs might not be much, but I'd rather see us try and possibly fail with him, than not bother. We're about to go 0-4 without playing Hawks/Swans/Crows over there/Geelong, so there are a few more losses coming our way. I'd rather see Tabs and Apeness (when ready) play than watching Pav get double teamed and be screwed next year because those two haven't got much experience in them.

You're right there. Croz is missing his big chance I can tell you that, because we're desperate for his kind. Mobile, quick, plays with intesity but can kick goals when the pressure's on. But he's miles form it at the moment. No way he comes in, even for Mayne.

I am a big fan before this peel match , after today if he continues like this I don't think any team want him even in WAFL.

Jesus **** I just saw that miss by Danyle Pearce.

Arrrggghh stab my ******* eyes out
Are you OK , is not worth it . TV screen , car wide screen , now your eyes.

One thing I'd like to work out is why when we have basically only drafted midfielders/back flankers for a number of years do we not have any decent kicks in the back-line. You look at the WB for example and they are overflowing with the Murphy, Boyd, Johannisen types while we seem to have Sheridan and that's it assuming you don't want to play our best winger off half back. Would get Tucker in asap and try to play guys like Langdon there while pushing Sutcliffe either out of the team or into the midfield.

We just can't have a backline of the Spurr, Dawson, Sutcliffe types that defend alright (is that even true anymore?) but offer nothing when we have the ball.

We will win against eagles, we are too good a side to lost three in a row.

In: Tucker, grey,Ethan , blakely ( if fit)
Out: Mayne, C.Pearce , Barlow, suban.

Alex Pearce is not a forward. I've been saying this since the day we first tried him there. Just because we are too impatient on Taberner and/or Taberner isn't good enough doesn't take away from the fact that Taberner has outperformed Pearce at AFL level up forward. Just because we don't have a good option doesn't mean we ruin our best young defender in the process of failing to solve the problem. The best way to solve the problem is through trading and drafting (with better picks/player attraction). I just don't see Alex Pearce making it as a forward but can see him holding down CHB for the next decade, which we happen to require someone to do as well.

Collins should be behind Dawson, Johnson and Pearce and if for whatever reason these three aren't playing in defence together (including if A.Pearce is up forward) should be getting games. If that's this week or not only really the selection committee that picks the team knows and as you say if he's deemed in our best 22 he should play regardless.

I just can't see the point of playing a player who's 29 and has time and time again been proven to be the sort that can be useful on his rare day but most of the time just plain ordinary. Is preferring to give Collins games over Silvagni really any different from people wanting Weller, Blakely, Langdon etc in instead of Mzungu, De Boer, C.Pearce etc.
Im not sure how you can say Taberner has out performed A Pearce as a forward when AP has spent very little time in the forward line. Both need to be given time to develop and unfortunately this is not going to happen when they are playing defence one week, swingman the next then playing ruck the next (AP)and WAFL the next (Tabs)! Alex has been injured for the majority of the preseason so ignore the fumbles yesterday, usually he has very good hands.
If the club are serious about the development of these two as forwards they have to persevere. On the way home last night on the train, to my surprise, supporters are pissed off that Pav is still playing and taking the place of a developing Taberner or Pearce playing as dedicated forwards.
Barlow has to be replaced by Blakely. Mayne has to go but not sure who can replace him.

Mayne had to go to allow fyfe to play in that position not a direct like to like swap, but a game plan adjustment where we can acceralete a young mid/hf development. The old game plan can always implement in peel with the old foot soldier to challenge them to take peel to a wafl flag.

Uebergang in his 3 match 8 mark 2 goal. The first goal uebergang assits it, because his body is not ready I don't want him to upgrade this year, if his body size is like Collins he will be my first choice after mora to upgrade from rookie list.

Tabs was BOG for Peel yesterday.

Tabs is the 2nd best key forward on our list after Pavlich.

Did you went to watch him play or based on stats and wafl news? Look at afl website Mayne and d.Pearce stats is still better than Langdon and Weller. Tabs disposal with peel is like freo disposal last night.

A forward line of Taberner, Pav and A Pearce is better than a forward line with Mayne, A Pearce and Pav.
Disagree I prefer Tab fyfe a.Pearce and move pav to wing where he can kick outside 50 and guide tab and a.Pearce in training how to lead /positioning in forward 50. If it work toward the end if Richardson career it should work for pav too.

Did you went to watch him play? Don't bother answering, it's irrelevant because you don't know what you're talking about.

25 disposals, 10 marks, 7 shots at goal is an absolutely dominant effort for a key forward. Furthermore, Tabs was named by Peel coaches as 2nd BOG after Brady Grey.

The reason Tabs hasn't got it "mentally" is because he doesn't even know what team he playing for each week. He would be mentally scrambled when he has no idea if he's playing AFL this week or WAFL next. Bloody hell. We haven't seen what Tabs can do when he plays 4-5 games of AFL in a row. Right now is the time to see what he is made off. So what if he has a stinker game and gets 3-4 marks? Isn't that what forwards that are developing do ? Remember Jack Riewoldt had to be fast tracked up forward and had poor games but eventually he got there. Not saying Tabs is similar but man if he got the time that Mayne got when he was developing who knows.

All players know that this is how the system works. You work hard in the WAFL Peel team so as to push your case for inclusion in the Freo team.

If he doesn't have the talent to make the change from WAFL to AFL then it won't happen for that reason.

If, however, he has ability it but isn't able to work through the system like everyone else, then it may well be that he "mentally" doesn't have it.

Richo was an athletic freak. Pav is nothing like Richo. He is slow and not very mobile in his old age. Guaranteed he will also break down if made to run around in the midfield.

I got a good feeling that if we let fyfe lead the younger boy there is possibility an upset win.
