What i want and what I'm afraid will see is vastly different

What I want to see

IN: Giles, Mitchell/ Hutchings, Karpany/ Mutimer, Mackenzie
OUT: Butler (omit), Redden (omit), Cripps (inj), Sheppard (inj)

To counter Sandilands we need that second ruck in Giles, especially if Vardy was to go down. Think the time has come for Butler to be a depth defender only. We may get better team balance but the arguments out there if we would improve with him in the 22 each week at the expense of a younger player

As much as I want Mitchell back in the team I think it's still a race against time, don't want him in underdone. Hutch has been putting his hand up in the 2's and Redden just looked slow with his ball movement against the Hawks. No intent.

As far the likely injury to Cripps well the best like replacement is MagicKarp but he'll be in on the back of no footy for two weeks (travelling emergency against Hawks). Mutimer i think is ready to go now. We need to make use of his long kick and pace.

My ideal situation I'd love Mackenzie back as well. Allows Gov to be more permanent ruck/ forward but if Butler is out already than I'm clutching at straws with a defender to drop out for Mackenzie. Maybe the injured Sheppard?

Would be extremely concerned having Vardy Giles Mackenzie Schofield Barass Gov and JK all in same team. Just a tad tall and slow. Pace is alreadya concern

From what I've seen of EP Mutimer should be given a crack, maybe partington as well, karpany is a risk because he can be flaky under pressure, Hutchings is going to the same well and is a deck chairs on the titanic move, Jetta was average at best on Saturday and doesn't deserve a recall, Cole isn't match fit, nor is Venables

Such a shame Watson is injured

I can see Karpany given the gig at Cripps spot even though his form wasn't outstanding in the WAFL. Not much left to choose from with Rioli and Venables unavailable.

Mutimer should get a go but will probably come in for someone like Butler. We have Wellingham that can cover that 7th defender spot.

With Mitchell unlikely to get up I doubt they will drop anyone from the midfield. Sheed, Duggan and Mutimer to show their worth alongside the seniors.

Reckon they might throw DV to the wolves?
Doubt it

His minutes have been increasing but he isn't playing with the intensity needed for AFL (in that regard he'd be amongst mates though)

Crikey.

We are more boned than a witch doctors nose!

Since it'll never happen anyway. Lamb in to tag Fyfe, don't care about the rest although I would persist with Gov forward at least long enough for the team to realise he's playing up there and they don't have to bomb to Kennedy in a 5 on 1 every time.

My biggest concern for this match is that Fyfe is an actual captain who wins games off his own boot. We've got absolutely no-one who can run with him, either we give that contest away like we usually do against quality opposition mids [and pay the price for it] or we try something audacious. Lamb is a 190cm+ running machine, fitter than the great and untouchable Chris Masten if pre-season time trials are anything to go by. In theory he might almost keep up with Fyfe and he might almost have the size to compete too so unless anyone has any better idea's???

I think it will be really good for Lamb to run with Fyfe. A great experience he can learn a lot from. I think Fyfe will get something out of it as well.:D

Out: Sheppard (inj), Cripps (inj), Schofield, Butler
In: Giles, Mutimer, Mackenzie, Jetta

B: Hurn Barrass Nelson
HB: Yeo Mackenzie McGovern
C: Jetta Priddis Gaff
HF: Masten Darling Wellingham
F: LeCras Kennedy Hill
FOL: Giles Shuey Sheed
I/C: Redden, Duggan, Mutimer, Vardy

Real shame that Rioli is injured, as he'd be very handy as a crumber with Cripps out. Sheppard and Cripps to miss with injury, Sam Mitchell also. Schofield and Butler omitted.

In's, I think we need to go dual rucks against Sandilands, depending on weather. Mutimer has been playing too well not to get a gig this week. Mackenzie has found a bit of form and is worth seeing if that translates to the big leagues. McGovern can swing back or forward depending on match ups and how the game is going. Jetta gets another opportunity, and may spend a fair bit of time forward also. Bad timing for Watson to be injured too, as it'd be exciting to see what he's got.

I'd like to see Sheed and Duggan stay in the side, as we need to be getting games into them. Both are starting to show more, but need opportunity. As much as we'd all like to see Venables get a gig, he's just not ready.

Cripps out really hurts we probably have one of the worst small fwd lines, watching Pies vs Bumbers. Bombers have Fantasia, Green and Tippa and Pies have Elliot, Falsolo and Varco with Blair not even getting a game.
What options do we have to replace Cripps?
Karpany? Wellingham? Jetta? Not too inspiring.

How many chances do you give Jetta. Really.
Dropped few times last year AND this year.
He really just needs to bugger off forever.

I would be willing to give him one last crack as a forward replacing cripps.
And he'll provide the defensive forward pressure of a wet paper towel

I'd play lamb before giving Jetta a game

Well maybe but he did put good pressure on when he played forward for Sydney in 2012.

In saying that he did alot of good things that year that hasn't been replicated since
