Oakleigh Nicholls got injured today, dunno how badly though. Agreed Morton could come out, you would've thought for Pets, but doesn't sound like he did a lot today.

Pretty sure JON was running around at the end of the game today.

Not saying that they should be dropped solely because of form, more just to give them a bit more of a run and gain some lost confidence.

Out: Hyde Riewoldt Morton
In: Collins Pattison JON

Geez it was f**king cold wet day today, shocking for forwards, I thought Jack and Morton kept running and presenting all day so hard up to drop them after today against the no.1 defence in the land. Hyde will go, dissapointing today as a tagger, not sure where he fits in.

Read the post above yours for the reasons why. TW has to make changes after 4 games without a win. While I agree that Morton and Riewoldt would be hard done by in missing out, there are not many others who would be more deserving of being omitted.

I know that he came off hurt, then went back on, but apparantly it was still troublin him. Elbow or wrist they thought.
Would indicate that it is not that serious an injury then. Think he deserves a game and being the Indiginous game you would think he would get a run.

I still dont understand why Conners isnt getting a run, he worked hard all day today and was one of the best on ground. I really liked his work off the ball too. Im not sure who he would replace though maybe McMahon after todays effort.

if we pick someone just because of the type of game it is(ie the dreamteam game)then it is a joke.
should be picked on form and that alone.

I guess the next question is who replaces them? Petts is the easy one but his form is solid without being super at Coburg, dropping these kids to build confidence doesn't work with me, don't understand. What we want is our young forwards playing senior games against the best along side blokes like Richo and Browny and hopefully learning from them.

IMO.

OUT: Hyde, (Maybe McGuane)

IN: Collins, (Maybe Rance)

Depending on if the coaching staff and Rance think he is ready I wouldn't mind seeing him get a go, we saw how good Cotch was, so let's bring in the other pick, more body than McGuane but can really hurt on the rebound and run.

Riewoldt and Morton get another go as our inside 50's were way down, and delivery was substandard plus it would've been damn hard to mark out there.

What have people got against McGuane i think he is fine and tackling is great. Last 2 weeks Gehrig 1 goal and Hawkins 1 goal that is fine.

Out: Hyde, King
In: Collins, JON/Connors depends if JON is fit.

King needs wake up call on being accountable.

I've got nothing against McGuane, it's just he is very slight and today dropped a number of crucial chest marks in the backline, and I think we should give Rance a go against an Essendon team devoid of forwards and down on form.

Not sure if you went today early to see Coburg i caught it from the half way mark of 2nd qtr and watched all of last weeks game so have seen a bit of Rancey. Rance was very good this week but it must be understood he was on Djekurra who is a speedy aboriginal boy not Lonergan for example. So he isnt going to come in and play on the big bodies yet i dont think. The week before he was very poor and remember was wet and lots of players were dropping marks.

I forgot to put Pettifer in on my earlier post. I'd probably give Edwards a week or two back in the Burgers and bring back Petts.

OUT: Edwards

IN: Pettifer

It is important to show the younger players that when they are in the senior side and they drop off even the slightest then they will be dropped back to the seconds and be replaced with another player who has been challangeing for their spot. Also for them to regain their spot on the senior side they must prove they want to get back there through their performance in the VFL.

McGuane has been our best tall defender the last couple of weeks. Thursty's form has dropped off a little. Was beaten by Mooney today. But Thursty is quality and will get back on top. Moore really struggled in the conditions today. Went to ground too often and couldn't kick the wet pill. None of those three will go out because generlly this year they have been combining pretty well.

Patto will come back in unless its pissing down again, but there won't be too many other changes. Maybe Collins or Pettifer for Edwards, but Edwards has shown a few good signs before today as well. Morton and Reiwoldt have both been pretty good before today and won't be dropped. Morton had a quiet one and Reiwoldt couldn't hold on to the wet ball, but I thought he went a bit better as the game went on.

That's my point though, against an Essendon side with Lucas out and no other KP Forward other than Lloyd we can afford to put a youngster in for his first go, he wont need to play on a big body.

As I said though if the coaching panel and Rance think he is ready then elevate him, if you look I said "Maybe" not definitley.

And a BIG NO to Pettifer, he is gone for good there is no way he should come in, I don't know how he did today but his time in the Burgers has not been fruitful, he has no defensive pressure, no attack on the ball and when he doesn't have the pill he doesn't try hard enough, would rather persevere with Edwards any day of the year.
