Out: Vince, Campbell
In: Reilly, Jericho

Jericho because he's pretty much the only forward option we have left (apart from Walker who obviously does not yet enjoy the confidence of the coashing staff), Reilly for some class off the bench.

I'd rather Otten got another AFL game than Campbell as he is much more likely to be a part of the future of this club.

Thoughts?

No Jericho

Out: Vince
In: Knights or Reilly.

NO SHITTY JERICHO THE DUD OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS.

I'm not a Jericho fan either, but Vince is a roving forward and replacing him with an underdone midfeilder and leaving it at that would be a mistake imho.

Vince is a key midfielder.

Very similar to Reilly.

If Vince is out (which seems to be likely) then the swap for Reilly, who was fantastic on Saturday, is a no brainer.

Eh. He has the ability to play through the midfield, but has been playing more as a HFF lately in my opinion.

Fair enough, i refuse to try to build a logical arguement for the inclusion of Luke Jericho, but I personally will be far more worried about this game if Vince doesn't get replaced by someone with some kind of goalkicking ability.

This is the game i think to bring in WALKER to make his debut.
With Essendon lacking key position backmen, i think we could really stretch their defence.

Therefore he wont have quality playing on him and will hurt them.

Therefore:
Reilly and Walker FOR Cambell and Vince.

Anyone Agree?

Vince is a midfielder who plays forward. If knights or Reilly come in for vince then i think Otten will get much more game time and be used in this role. Big ask for someone in their 3rd game though.

I think it will be Vince for Reilly and that's all.

Pity neither Tippett nor Petrenko got to play this weekend, would've been interesting to see how they went. Might have forced someone out with a big game.
Reilly will definitely be in next week for Vince, who hopefully won't miss many weeks. was Scott Stevens injured or just pulled up really sore? if he misses, Tippett will be in.
the only way i see Petrenko coming in is if Campbell is dropped.

Scott Stevens appeared to cramp up, he was fine afterwards.

I don't. I really don't want to see Walker in the team this year, he's still far too inconsistent and needs to work on his game more.

I think Reilly will be straight in for Vince, though from my vantage point today Vince played HFF/Small Forward for the majority of the game. With no Porpoise in either, Johncock will stay up, and we'll have to rotate the old folks through the forward line, with one there at all times.

hopefully otten stays in .. i wanna see what he can do in perfect conditions ... stiffy i like up forward as our D is pretty solid even without him as symes had a pretty good game.

I wouldn't exactly say he is inconsistent. He can't kick bags of 4,5...9 goals every week. On a quiet day he still has a minimum of 4 shots on goals. If watched most of his games and at least watched highlights of his every game and I'd actually say his consistency has improved a lot. He may not be dominating in recent weeks with bags of 5+ goals, but I reckon he is actually playing better. He gets a lot of attention now even when the ball isn't in his area. Even when he appears quiet or limited supply he still kicks a minimum of 2 goals. Very happy with his development. Only needs to work on defensive skills/attitude. I believe this is because as a junior he has always had it come easy for him.

Just had a look on the crows site at the injury list, they have Vince down as out for two, but knights as a test :thumbsu: and porps as a TBC , weird seen as last week he was down as 3-4, so the way I see that is that he either has had a rapid improvement or has gone down hill??

Not sure on Campbell, I like his hardness at the footy and pressure but when he gets it i'm unsure?? Hope Otten gets another chance as he looked fairly nervy yesterday but at least he got (it seemed) more gametime than last time. Reilly back in for mine and if Knights is up to it means someone must be dropped, so you would think that would be one of Otten/Campbell??

Cause he is the latest punching bag for everyone.

seems deadset bizzare to be dropping him after 0 bad games. yes he had a couple of poor kicks but if I had to ask all the crows guys to hit a target he would be in my top 5 people to ask. Also How good was his in and under work!!

Only reason I suggested it was as i see the need for both a goalscorer and Reilly to come in to replace Vince - so someone needs to be dropped. If we were to do that it would probably be Otten that gets dropped but I personally would rather he stayed in the team ahead of Campbell. /shrug

Having said all that everyone seems happy to have Tyson Edwards as our main goalscoring threat so it will probably just be Reilly for Vince.
